The street clutter that blights Corstorphine is dangerous. There have been multiple incidents of people tripping & falling, sustaining serious injuries. This kerb has been reported many times to Ed Council. A pedestrian broke their jaw tripping over these kerbs on Kirk Loan.
Edinburgh Council are guilty of using flawed data to justify their ridiculous LTN in Corstorphine.
Speak to anyone who lives in the area and they will tell you it has created absolute traffic chaos.
Forcing all traffic onto 1 road is stupidity on stilts.
@ACECorstorphine
The LTN in Corstorphine has been a catastrophic failure.
Traffic congestion has actually increased, not decreased.
Traffic has been displaced, not reduced.
Traffic jams at peak times are horrendous.
Unsurprisingly, residents & businesses strongly oppose it.
556 recorded objections show the depth of antithapy in the area against this chaotic trial and if the council ignore these objections, as they say they will, then democracy is dead in Edinburgh.
Time to scrap this ridiculous scheme now instead of making it permanent @Edinburgh_CC.
@ACECorstorphine
When will they listen? The Council was warned that these bollards installed in Corstorphine & other areas in Edinburgh were dangerous. The FOI submitted by Jimโs heartbroken daughter, revealed that the road safety audit warned of a risk of "trips & falls"

The ยฃ800k trial LTN in Corstorphine has failed. Displaced traffic onto neighbouring roads, and it hasnโt achieved its active travel objectives

#BBCLauraK Absolutely agree 100%, get young people without a plan, into National Service of some sort. Give them a sense of community & responsibility, give them skills & an understanding that NO ONE lives for free. No one should be 'forced' into the military.
