@riverportgin Indie rock shows in the early 2000s were crazy. 45 min show was the shortest I ever saw.

I also saw one of my favorite bands: The Slip, change from a 2 set improv heavy trio to a tight songed 1 set performance.

Jam band fans are lucky. Varying set lists! 3+ hour plus show!

@riverportgin I think there’s a common thread with TMBG, Ween, & Phish. (Lifelong favorite bands of mine)
All 3 bands genre switch on a dime & have a sense of humor built into their catalogue. *if you’re in on the joke* the music can be incredible. But from the outside, people don’t get it.
