Natives: "We are kind to visitors. It is our nature to accommodate others. We have every right to reject your interests in our lands, but you are welcome"

Colonialists: "Either way, as visitors or intruders, we HAVE to kill you so we feel safe. We have to kill all of you."

[Miyandy @Amahashi_]

You are deliberately being dense. Nobody is talking about forcing people to eat halal or kosher food. We are talking about halal certification becoming a potential barrier to entry for businesses, particularly when it comes to supplying food to government institutions, securing tenders, and operating in certain spaces.
The businesses that do not serve halal food are being unfairly disadvantaged and excluded from opportunities.

Freedom of religion includes the freedom not to practise a religion, and that should not become an economic disadvantage. Stop reducing a discussion about economic access and procurement to a conversation about what people choose to eat.

Cardi B describes the exact moment she knew her marriage to Offset was dead and the painful journey of letting go emotionally

"I also felt like my marriage, like, I felt the love dying. From my end, from his end. I was very lonely because I chose to be lonely."

"I was saying, like, you know what? I [can’t] go through this anymore. I have to put a stop to it."

"But when I said I was going to put a stop to it, ’cause you could say you’re going to put a stop to it and you could go a month without being around somebody. It’s not until... when you say so, it’s when your heart say so.”

“I kept telling myself I will not contact this person for a month. I will not give in. I will not forgive this easy. I will not go back. I will not go to the pattern. I will not go through it."

"But I was crying every day. I was hurt every day. I was out here in LA and in a mansion by myself. I was thinking about it every single day. And when your heart is not done, your heart is not done.”

“Then I told myself, I’m pregnant. I’m going to accept my flaws, the flaws that I bring in this marriage. I’m going to apologize for it and I’m going to work on it."

"And when I take accountability and you take advantage of me taking accountability, and you take that as, ‘See, I know she’ll be back,’ instead of me taking accountability and you taking advantage of that, it really just killed everything."

"And while it was dying, I had a human growing in me, and I just kept thinking, like, what’s life going to be without this person? What life going to be without raising my last child without this person? What’s life going to be with that person not being my friend anymore?

"When you have those type of thoughts, it would make you sad, it would get you depressed. It would have you lost.”

“But I overcame that, and I am the strongest that I have ever been. I felt my strongest when I was 22, 23, 24. That’s when I felt like I was living in a power, and that’s how I feel right now."

"And it took months for the heart to say you’re done, instead of my mouth and my brain. My heart had to be like, you’re done. ’Cause you could say it and you could take actions, but even if you take actions, if you’re not done, you’re not done.”

“Like, I kept asking, around that time I was working with Shakira, and I was like, how the fuck did you overcome this? And it’s like, it’s going to happen and it would never happen, and it happened."

"It took some crying, it took some thoughts, scary thoughts. But I’m here, honey.”

The amount of accommodating, inclusivity, and bending over backwards black South Africans must do in this country for minorities that don’t even have the courtesy of learning our languages is astounding.😂😂

[Motho wa Modimo @KeModimoWaGo]

And that’s how we “it’s not that deep” ourselves out of our land and culture. In a couple of decades our kids will think halaal is part of our cultures because we allowed ourselves to assimilate

[M🇿🇦☦️ @M24onRSA]

Initially, I didn't care for this Halaal discourse until I started to seeing a common pattern: Black South Africans are continuously expected inconvenience themselves to cater to minority groups who would never afford them the same benefit.

The good thing is that many of us don’t blindly follow ideologies or borrow our opinions from others. We have no problem with people practising their religion freely. But when religious practices start influencing access to public institutions, government contracts or economic opportunities in ways that disadvantage or exclude others, we will certainly speak out. Religious freedom should never come at the expense of fairness and equal access in our public institutions.

If we had true journalism, they would be writing indepth articles on the business behind this Halaal Certification.

The tax implications, the effects on price.

The supply chain and how are others discriminated or disadvantaged and how others are preferred.

The flow of revenues accumulated and who benefits, and how does the consumer benefit from it all.

Instead we are gaslighted by people who clearly have a mutually beneficial relationship with this practice!

Most of the successful marriages of 30 years you see today are products of the woman’s PATIENCE and TOLERANCE.
