@PremLeaguePanel@HancockAnalysis Bullshit. Manager reacted to the players soaking pressure for a while before reacting to try and sure up the game. Pickford made two class saves before changes. Players not manager lost that game
@PompeyPedro What he’s not saying is we are going for bottom mid table.
What he is saying is we can now financially compete with those budgets, which the last two years we haven’t been able to.
The aim will still be to outperform our spend, but with a larger budget.
@mrandrewmoon Not 100% sure how insurance works in football, but we must have so much salary head room if insurance picks up the bill for all these injuries
@CharlieBushWFC I was in the crowd. Literally not one Pompey fan was chanting Baah Baah black sheep. We were definitely “baaaa”ing when he had the ball.
Absolutely an example of love to see it if he’s one of yours, and boo him if he’s not. But don’t make this a racial thing
Three months ago, Portsmouth’s Colby Bishop underwent open-heart surgery after a scan found a potential risk.
Today, he made his first appearance since then and scored.
❤️❤️
I have a spare adult ticket for the game today in south lower (block SC). I’d take £20 for it, don’t want the seat to go to waste. Pick up at the ground from 13:00.
DM if interested.

Coalition are so deep they will the club to do badly to find validation. I know they’ve gone quiet the last few days, but just to point out how ridiculous their ever changing goalposts for “ambition” are. 13th place last season was in a relegation battle #pompey
@Pompey_Goals@PompeyPedro Laughable this lot 😴😴
Not rocket science…We don’t have the ££ weight of other teams in the league. Value will come after the season starts when players are out of squads. First 7 are going to be tough regardless of recruitment. X is going to exhausting for the next month.

I covered #England under 10 managers, including some caretakers, very august names and figures among them. Not one of them achieved what #GarethSouthgate has, some with potentially exceptional sides in 98, 06 and 10.
(Venables might have, but couldn't swallow his pride and do a Euro 96 'audition', though it was really the FA suits fault for insisting he did.)
Worth remembering too, that England failed to qualify for a Euros and three World Cups in the 70s, 80s and 90s.
Not only is Southgate's record of achievement quite brilliant, he did it with enlightenment, by developing and empowering young men, showcasing them as shining representatives of a diverse and - largely - tolerant nation, partly bolstering a nation's self-esteem in some dark years and ridding the national team of a world-weariness.
There are those who called him woke. He certainly woke English football. The 'Dear England' letter was a masterstroke.
There were mistakes, moments he missed, opportunities that slipped through his fingers. He will surely reflect on them more than anybody.
They are not for today, nor does today belong to those who have been vilifying this most honourable, articulate and steadfast of men for perceived failures that really aren't.
Today is for him to be assured that those who have any realistic sense of English football's history and standing, and who appreciate a return to being able to hold heads high, are humbly grateful for his eight years of inspired, yeoman service.
