@Devon_Eriksen_ I mostly agree, but I think this is a false dichotomy. The price isn't absolutely insane only because of high research costs. The cost is insane largely due to crony capitalism preventing proper competition.
@Jediwolf@dystopiangf@SHL0MS Psych! It's actually AI generated, along with all the replies, and this post is the one capturing real human content to show us the bias humans have about humans having bias about AI!
"Claim to the land"? When in the history of history has that ever been a thing not dictated by defending and working the land? The owner is the owner because he builds the structure and manages the direction of labor so that the labor can actually build something of use. He then defends that structure from being destroyed by people like you, people who want what they can't create or maintain. Want more structure that suits you? Cultivate and direct more labor in pursuit of it and defend the fruits of that labor. You advocate for racism and communism. The creations of people like you are on display as the great failures of mankind.
@SunSpotSundae@tanomuzeA You're mixing up two very different groups of people. Or, you're the other group doing what you do (I think you listed most of them).
Also, I'm not telling you to leave the planet. I'm just wondering why you're standing in my living room telling me I owe you a sandwich.
@SunSpotSundae@tanomuzeA Whites are the prime movers. You're using their creations to complain about them over an infrastructure created by them. Now you're upset they want to live without you.
I kind of agree, but I think you're mischaracterizing and over-reaching a bit to make a compelling post.
Latin words in English are much more powerful than their Germanic counterparts because they can be broken up into their Latin roots and abstracted away from their physical or literal applications.
Mis-re-present - a person can do this (intentionally or unintentionally, so it's not a lie in the strict sense), but a data point can also misrepresent a trend ... weird to call data points liars, no?
The actual Latin word for lie is mendacio (think "mendacious") ... but we don't use it much because we already have the German version.
What you're pointing at is when people intentionally use the abstract when they actually mean the physical. Then they can later claim they were not lying.
Intentionally misleading without being factually incorrect is actually called pattering and is even wise than lying though ...
My point is that an equally large issue (actually the issue that enables this paltering) is the lack of fluency or broad education in the populace. We let ourselves get dumb and now us dummies are getting angry that we're being treated like we are dumb.
Sorry, but blaming it all on this guy is absurd. He's just the culmination of 100 years of propaganda, grift, fraud, and regulatory capture. The "choices" you have in the voting booth are designed to make it impossible to stop the corruption. He's the compromised orange cherry on top of a turd sundae.
That said, fully agree that America is no-longer recognizable.
Dude, the entire treasury system is an offront to capitalism. Wasn't it clear already that he doesn't understand it? "Rather than making an ecosystem where building things can be profitable, let's give some of everyone's money to people who make promises to build things they don't actually need to deliver on".
@elraulito@UtxoSaint Anyway, on the bright side I no longer hold any meaningful amount of crypto. We built it and they came, but they were all retarded, so they squandered it and it stopped working.
Being in this space is so infuriating. In multiple tweets and engagements, I've given you fucking morons the keys to the kingdom. All the strategic plays that make this work and why, and nobody has said a fucking thing. Nobody has engaged me or retweeted. It's just a sea of glazed over morons seeking engagement, asking the same "why it no work no more?!?" questions with zero ability to understand the answers that are staring you in the face. At this point the community deserves to burn. Maybe something good will come from the ashes but I doubt it more and more with every month that passes.
But most of what people have been demanding was synthetic, as in it was a step in a long process towards a real service being provided. Nobody *wants* to hire a lawyer. Making lawyers cheaper doesn't make people hire more of them ... especially if they were only hiring lawyers to set up a new company to provide a service that is now free via AI.
You are missing the point that it was mostly a long staircase to get to something that is now sitting here on ground level for everyone. We were all employed in the staircase and now nobody needs the staircase. What do people really demand? A nice home, nice food, some good entertainment, and friends. Even wanting "success" and all the things that they demanded in order to get it ... was just another part of the staircase.
Bye bye staircase 👋

Enjoyment is complicated. We re-baseline, and there are different kinds of happiness. This is a huge failure of the English language vs the Greek.
If a cell phone user is unhappy with his excessive screen time but is drawn to it nonetheless?
You oversimplify the human experience. Doesn't mean you're wrong here .. need to look at the details ... but this is the wrong argument
@choffstein@levelsio Yah 'cause these totally aren't individuals who have their own abilities and desires. It's just nerds and jocks as huge collective hive minds 🥴
