Wildfire history coming your way! In 1918, fire lookout towers began using table maps & the Osborne Fire Finder to locate fires. The Osborne Fire Finder, is a type of alidade used by fire lookouts to find a directional bearing to smoke to pinpoint a fire. #FirefightingResources
