@BillHouchens4@Simone_Biles Look up the Twisties... That's what's happening with Simone Biles' mentality. She shouldn't have to risk literally breaking her neck and becoming paralyzed. America does NOT deserve that kind of sacrifice for what amounts to an Olympic GAME.
@RickDonovan12@Provokingu@WillyDiBa7@jaytatum0 You're not a gymnast, you wouldn't understand. Learn about "The Twisties." I think the American Way is to NOT expect our athletes to literally break their necks and become paralyzed for "national pride."
@Simone_Biles OMG... you are SO MUCH MORE than just a gymnast, my dear. So much more. You have a huge platform that you just used to inspire millions of people to take care of themselves and believe that THEY are more than just what they do for a living.
@parentinfluenc1 IDK about DisneyLAND in California, but disabled folks don't get to skip lines in DisneyWORLD, Florida. Almost all of the cues can accomodate ECVs and definitely all of the cues can accomodate manual wheelchairs. So let's not exploit any handicapped folks, mmkay?
@darkwing1013 @KevinHa47654768 @AOC Do your research sweetie... the FBI says found thatstates with the highest murder rates are the states that HAVE the death penalty.
@darkwing1013 @KevinHa47654768 @AOC Furthermore, studies have shown that the death penalty has little-to-no impact whatsoever as a crime deterrent. Those murderers who kill with no thought would still kill with no thought even if the death penalty were a penalty in every state.
@darkwing1013 @KevinHa47654768 @AOC We don't hang people or use firing squads anymore, my dude. There's a constitutional ban on cruel and unusual punishment, which hanging a person or putting them in front of a firing squad would violate. Maintaining our ideals is MOST important when it's the HARDEST.
Watching "Crikey, it's the Irwins" for the first time... 5 seconds. It took FIVE SECONDS for me to start bawling. The world just doesn't deserve this entire amazing family
@TerriIrwin@BindiIrwin@RobertIrwin
@renzodutches@JudgeShadow@AOC And honestly I do think Supermax is the ideal alternative given that the forced isolation serves the dual purpose of protecting guards and other prisoners from the individual. But once a single individual escapes, if one does, that's going to throw us back to the drawing board.
@Mankey6 @Atur77413946 @KevinHa47654768 @AOC ALL of your threads are nothing more than gaslighting and strawmanning. What you're advocating for is asinine and stupid and not even relevant to the initial conversation.
@Mankey6 @KevinHa47654768 @AOC ...and even when errors are found, juries still often convict? It's still HUMANS who make the decision on guilt. It's still humans who determine a sentence. You're still completely digressing from the actual conversation.
@Mankey6 @Atur77413946 @KevinHa47654768 @AOC ...you're gaslighting. And you're really, really bad at it. Again, I'm not saying to abolish the death penalty. I'm saying that cost is not an effective point in its favor.
@Mankey6 @KevinHa47654768 @AOC You're completely digressing here. I'm not arguing that we shouldn't execute actual guilty people. All I said was that saving money is NOT a reason to do so because it is cheaper to imprison them for life. The response should not be "get rid of appeals to make it cheaper"
@Mankey6 @KevinHa47654768 @AOC Again, forensics as a science means zip if you don't have actual humans running the testing. Cross contamination happens. Human error happens. That's WHY we have an appeals system - to catch those errors before we execute someone. The solution is not "no appeals."
@Mankey6 @KevinHa47654768 @AOC That's ridiculous. Our justice system is run by HUMANS. Humans make errors. The fact that you're perfectly chill with the idea of executing even more innocent people to save a buck is disgusting.
