Mahi is on the euthanasia list for tonight. I hate posting this late, but I have to try.

He came into the shelter on 2/2 after being hit by a car. He had to be rushed to an emergency vet where multiple drains were placed… and honestly, it’s a miracle he even survived.

He fought that hard to live.

And now… he’s on the euthanasia list tonight.

I went to see him today to bring treats, and something felt different. He’s always been stressed in the kennel, pacing and overwhelmed… but today he wasn’t.

He was just sitting there. Tail wagging.

And the way he looked at me completely broke me. 💔

He has been struggling in the shelter for a while now, and you can see it starting to take a toll on him. He is the underdog on this list… the one people keep passing by.

He’s only 2 years old. 50 lbs.
People friendly, but like a lot of dogs in the shelter, he can be selective with other dogs. He will do best with calm dogs.

He deserved better than everything he’s already been through… and he definitely doesn’t deserve for his story to end like this.

If anyone can step up to foster or adopt, please come for him.

😢😢😢😢😢😢😢Sometimes people make me cry. This is Kali. She was surrendered today by her owner. Staff offered help in a variety of forms and begged her to wait - to try and find a home for her. The owner had no interest in help. She only wanted rid of this girl. She was told Kali might be euthanized for space and responded “okay”. Yall, it’s not okay. She is panicked and so beyond upset in this loud unfamiliar building. We are told she is 3 years old. She is so sweet, soooooo scared and so unsettled. She shows no interest in other dogs but did find a little solace in a blanket and a stuffie. Please help me find a space for her. It’s simply unbelievable the way some people dispose of what we see as family.
