@wesstreeting The country has lost a very impressive statesman as its Prime Minister due to your actions. I would keep quiet for a long time if I was you.
Another financial investigation in to Farage
Farage used around €1.8m in EU funds to bankroll his Brexit campaign, FT investigation reveals – and Transparency International is calling for an inquiry

In 2015, Royal Mail was privatised. In 2017, it missed delivery targets and has never met them since. Yet again we see 'the superior efficiency of the private sector' in action.
Our Armed Forces make extraordinary sacrifices to keep us safe, and as a city I know we are deeply proud of the skill and courage they show every day.
Proud to mark @ArmedForcesDay today.
Across the NHS there are currently around:
* 8,000 doctor vacancies
* 25,000 nurse vacancies
* 100,000 total vacancies
And yet ignorant people in the comments still talk of people ‘stealing their jobs’
The truth is the NHS would collapse without staff from all over the world
This is how badly now you are gaslit by the media - GB News ran almost the exact same headline.
The true headline is
Utter desperation from Farage
- they won 7 seats (they were defending 4)
- two seats they won by 31 and 60 votes one with a 16.7% turmout
- 9 seats they were NEW
- in the other 12 vote share was static or fell in 10
- Friday morning 2 Warwickshire councillors defected to Restore and another resigned
So result is NET ZERO councillor's since Wednesday
4 more days of the media slagging off state school kids sitting in sweltering classrooms, while their public school educated offspring are already on their summer hols.
On Monday they will return to demonising the sick and disabled.
What a way to earn a living
I joined @GMB this morning to say thank you to @Keir_Starmer. His policies to reduce hotel use for asylum seekers has led to more than £1 billion in savings. It’s been slow and unglamorous work, but it meets the commitments made in the @UKLabour manifesto.
Unlike Reform, Labour have shown they can deliver a fair immigration policy with compassion and tolerance and I, for one, am very grateful to the PM for meeting his promises to the public in 2024.
John Major:
“Who are the gainers from having left? I don’t hear the Brexiteers talking much about Brexit these days because they know in their heart that it has failed to deliver what they promised… The losers are every wallet, every purse and every balance sheet in the country.”
After 10 years, even a former Tory PM is saying what the data shows: Brexit failed.
Despite what you've heard this week, we're delivering on our manifesto with over 4,600 teachers recruited into where we need them most – secondaries, special schools and colleges.
That's alongside more teachers in training, more rejoining and more staying in our schools.
@Conservatives@KemiBadenoch So Ms Badenoch if one of the few remaining Tory members was to have a stroke and could no longer work are you saying the government shouldn't give them welfare? Are you that cruel?
@Conservatives@KemiBadenoch And the Conservatives are the "poverty party". 2.4 million households ( Trussel Trust 2024) rely on foodbanks to feed their families), in 2010 it was 40'000 households. An increase of 3900%, good numbers to plaster on the walls of the Carlton Club no doubt😉😉😉
@Conservatives@KemiBadenoch Talk like that will only attract Reform voters and unfortunately Farage and co have already got that vote, rest will be voting Lib Dem’s that leave you in the losing your deposit territory.
The Tories left behind a mess that I've spent the last two years clearing up.
In that time, they've come up with one policy: to cut state school budgets to reinstate private school tax breaks.
Two years, one policy, no clue.
@Matt_VickersMP We do not have to give up our hard won human rights to control migration and you know it. Your party just want to have complete control of the British public if by some miracle the Tories are ever reelected.
