I feel like promotion/relegation would be problematic with tv contracts, branding, etc.

But the play-in game would add a week to the schedule which is already crowded

As a Texas fan, I want them in the playoff. As a NCAAF, I want Texas in the playoff as I think they are a top 12 team currently.

BUT you can’t lose three times and go to OT in two other games and expect / believe your team deserves to be in the playoff.
