So sad to learn of the death of Sir Hayden Phillips, the first Permanent Secretary of @DCMS Working with him was an epiphany for me, and I learned more from his warmth, wit and commitment to public service than from anyone else in my career. RIP Hayden.

🎨 The college offers a range of technical and professional education courses to students. Their Majesties met students taking part in fashion, plumbing, healthcare and cookery workshops.
🎬 The King and Queen also joined Sir Idris, alumnus of the college and @KingsTrust, at the state-of-the-art TV and film studios named in his honour.

Folk say Shakespeare is hard to understand, but it isn’t when it is delivered like this by Ian McKellen. Amazing how the language flows and stops to flow again, immediately comprehensible even to the modern ear. Both of them geniuses in their own way.
