'The wonder of the world
The beauty and the power
The shapes of things,
Their colours, light and shades;
These I saw.
Look ye also while life lasts'

Trump is not technically falling asleep. It’s more like a temporary loss of consciousness- common in dementia patients. His brain is shutting down. These are the type of symptoms that will lead him from his current White House assisted living facility to an eventual nursing home.
On June 4 this year, as every year, I think back to that terrible night in 1989 when I watched China's army fire on the crowd that I was in and massacre unarmed protesters. I'll never forget the courage I saw that night, as well as the cruelty. #Tiananmen https://t.co/ySyNR1yjzM
I agree with everything you say. I’m glad I saw it all, dreadful though it was. But I’m determined that the Chinese govt and its stooges can’t pretend it didn’t happen, simply because they’re embarrassed by it.
Hong Kong was once a promise. The hope was that China would emulate it over time. But now autocracy has hollowed out Hong Kong’s former liberties. A real tragedy.
Remembering the excitement of the Tiananmen Square democracy movement and the brutality of the Chinese government's massacre and crackdown that ended this moment of hope 37 years ago.
So Farage ran away from parliament after he was shamed by the PM.
Where did he run away to? To Oswald's in Mayfair, a private members club.
When will people wake up. He doesn’t represent you. He doesn’t understand you. He’s not like you. He’s using you.

37 years ago the Chinese army killed large numbers of people in Beijing and elsewhere when it cracked down on student protests. I was there and saw it happen myself. Nowadays China tries to claim the Tiananmen massacre was invented by the international media. That’s a total lie.
On June 4, the world marks 37 years since the Chinese Communist Party ordered its troops to attack thousands of peaceful demonstrators in and around Tiananmen Square. Those who sacrificed to uphold their unalienable rights of free expression and peaceful assembly will be vindicated someday.
Ground level footage showing the damage to the Russian Steregushchy-class corvette "Boikiy", struck by multiple Ukrainian drones in dry-dock on June 3rd.
The ship is clearly heavily damaged, possibly beyond repair.
Today marks 37 years since the Tiananmen Square massacre. Its ripple effects continue.
It was a lightning rod for Jimmy Lai: the moment when his career shifted from fashion to journalism and defending democracy.
In 1989, Jimmy Lai helped fund a rescue network that carried many protesters and dissidents to safety. One of them was Arthur Liu, a student leader on Beijing's "most wanted" list. Liu fled to Hong Kong and eventually made it to America, where he built a new life. This year, his daughter Alysa won Olympic gold for Team USA.
Jimmy Lai gave others their freedom. Today, he has spent nearly 6 years in prison for defending Hong Kong's freedom.

Chinese authorities have spent decades scrubbing details of the 1989 pro-democracy demonstrations in Tiananmen Square from the country’s memory.
But now, some young people are learning details of the events and often in unexpected ways. https://t.co/nWvZX17Qlp
Henry Nowak's mother has said:
"We are a family who have friends across faith and race, and so did Henry. We want his memory to help bring our society together."
And there you have it.
‘Darren Rigby, who sent hoax death threats to schools is jailed’
All girls’ schools were specifically targeted. Rigby ‘threatened to carry out deadly attacks supposedly in response to the treatment of ‘transwomen’’. None of this features in the coverage across outlets, despite the evidence emerging in email evidence and in court, neither does it feature in the Merseyside Police report.
‘I’m going to kill every girl and woman staff member I come across’
‘I'm going to shoot and stab all your girls’
It’s a crime of extreme misogyny in the cause of ‘fighting trans oppression’ but any mention of ‘trans’ has been erased by the police, PA and all news outlets. In addition the BBC report hides the fact that it was a crime against women and girls.

It seems the Scottish Parliament's finance committee will have SNP MSPs appointed as convener AND deputy convener. Quite aside from suspicions this will lead to weaker scrutiny of gov than with opposition MSPs heading it, this is a party that can't even manage its own finances
