Seesaw is an effective tech tool to encourage peer evaluation and engagement. It allows students to view each other's work and leave comments on what they thought. Creating videos about science projects could increase students knowledge and allow for feedback #edte4200@jse_CSUB
Q3 Creating a social science lesson on the California missions with Prezi would engage the students on the topic while incorporating each domain of academic language. The concept of digging deeper on each topic and its impact could be discussed thoroughly. #edte4200@jse_CSUB
@MrWood2020@jse_CSUB I really liked your idea of using PeerEval for the students who are watching the presentation. The result would be two-fold, the students would be giving their evaluation, but the students would also be reviewing the content that was covered. #EDTE4200@jse_CSUB
@jenniferl100@jse_CSUB Once again Google is a great addition to the classroom. As we all participated with the Syllabus for #EDTE4200, everyone was able to comment on the document, either to ask a question or to make a comment. Google Docs can be used independently or in groups! @jse_CSUB
@jenniferl100@jse_CSUB I agree Google Slides is a great option. Slides is very customizable and it allows a teacher the ability to embed a ton of information all in different forms. This is a great way to reach all students, including differences in abilities and attention spans. #EDTE4200@jse_CSUB
@2x_jon@jse_CSUB Using the resources from the San Diego Zoo is a great idea! There are many students who do not have the opportunity to visit a zoo. Being able to guide the class around the park while being able to keep the student's attention on the lesson could be very beneficial. #EDTE4200
@MrsG_Educates@jse_CSUB Google Drive is a good example of a technology resource that allows for differentiation for a group of learners. Your idea of student groups using the program would be a great way to collaborate and to support each other. #EDTE4200@jse_CSUB
I have been really impressed with the capability of @ProdigyGame for #mathprodigy. Students are able to work independently on their correct level. At the end of the day I would be able to review how each student did and this would help my lesson plans improve #edte4200@jse_CSUB
@2x_jon@jse_CSUB@ReadWorks I have not heard of Read Works yet. I'm excited to check it out and see if it would work for my future class. My wife is a teacher and is getting her master's in reading and literacy I excited to talk to her about @ReadWorks@jse_CSUB#EDTE4200
@MrWood2020@jse_CSUB That's awesome that you were hired while you are still working on your single subject credential. My wife also went this route and it has worked out great for her. There is definitely a lot of work, but in the end, I think it is worth it. #EDTE4200
@GLee15689392@jse_CSUB That's great that you are starting with the credential program so early. I have been out of college for a few years now, I certainly wish I had entered the program back when I was in college the first time. Good luck!
@Julissa28631388@jse_CSUB I have been really impressed with how easy it is to build a website using Google Sites. Using Google Sites as your classroom homepage would be a great tool for both students and parents.
@GLee15689392@jse_CSUB Hi Greg, I am not a big fan of making videos and when I saw that we had to use Flipgrid I was not very excited. After using the program for the past few weeks, I have loosened up a little bit and I definitely see how some students would love to use video blogging.
My favorite technology resource from #EDTE4200 has been Kahoot! The program is really fun to play with, my son (6 years old) and I have been using the program for fun this summer. It's a great way to keep him engaged while still learning. @jse_CSUB
My name is Keith, I am just starting the credential program at CSUB. I am planning on being a history or social science teacher at the high school or middle school level. I am not currently working, I am hoping to be accepted into the KHSD residency program. @jse_CSUB#EDTE4200
