@slwilly I think it depends exactly how we define education. They may be limited in teaching math or science, for example, unless they are specifically designed for that, but they can teach problem solving, cooperation, etc. #beduc476
@lupinkelsey I think the concern there would be not everything has a perfectly objective answer, so who decides what is real and what is fake? #beduc476
Re: "Digital Blackface" - are people participating in this consciously? Or is it subconscious and not intentional? Does it make a difference?

@UWdog1 I wonder if people will post their content on creative commons more often or less often. I could see arguments for both -- but as more and more people need photos for their projects, people may see an opportunity to make money instead of providing them for free.
While I agree these digital learning environments can be great, aren't the examples used a little cherrypicked? Not all classes will turn out as Thomas' did. #beduc476
@DrEllsworthOPS A6: Primary sources make history feel less fixed (and less boring) as students can do their own interpreting rather than being told what to think or what a document means.
@DrEllsworthOPS A1: Of course the info/concepts themselves are very important, but it's also a great subject to teach/practice skills - research, critical thinking, discussion, etc. #sschat
