Congratulations to No Land Beyond and Bryan Ranere of San Francisco’s Foreign Cinema for approval of their liquor license applications today. Incredibly talented people bringing what will be great new small businesses to Old Goucher. Looking forward to them opening very soon!
Rain won’t stop my intrepid and infinitely talented husband as he landscapes the beer garden at Fadensonnen and outside the soon-to-open Dutch Courage at 23rd and Charles. All the concrete removed there will also give the street trees a new lease on life.
I’m happy to welcome the newest addition to the Old Goucher neighborhood! Bryan Ranere is an incredible entrepreneur. I love that our neighborhood is a place where creative people from both Baltimore and around the country can make home. https://t.co/v7RW2lCG0q
Many thanks to the Baltimore Business Journal for its recent cover story on what we've been working on in the neighborhood! I'm including a link to an unlocked version of the article below:

I'm here tonight at a Charles North meeting listening to proposals about development of a City-owned lot at 21st and Charles. The most exciting by far is a proposal from the @pridecenterofmd to have a mixed use building that also serves our LGBT community.
Devastated to hear about the shooting this morning at the Man Alive drug treatment center on Maryland Avenue. My thoughts today are with the brave police officer who was shot responding to the scene. @FOP3@BaltimorePolice
I'm so grateful to my friends in the Oliver community who hosted me this afternoon. The intellect, energy, and architecture in that neighborhood is incredible. On City Council, I can't wait to harness that energy into making Oliver one of the gem neighborhoods of Baltimore.
Thanks to the @washingtonpost for highlighting what's happening in Old Goucher. Grassroots development is how we will turn this neighborhood and this city around:
"Old Goucher is a crazy, eclectic mix of what makes up all that’s great about the city https://t.co/zccHbpG3Yk
People get so concerned about crime in Baltimore, but totally underestimate the risks of suburban living...traffic accidents being chief among them. https://t.co/OmHUhdn9PH
So happy to support new @ottobuddy owner Tecla Tesnau as she takes the reigns. The Ottobar has been an incredible Baltimore anchor for years, and Tecla has the vision to make it a pivotal part of Old Goucher's resurgence.
Unveiling today the newest piece in the ARTSite Old Goucher collection—a piece of queer protest art by Badlands Unlimited in NY. Thanks to @josephdelpesco for working to get more thought provoking art into the neighborhood. At the corner of 24th and Maryland. Happy Pride!!!
2019 ACTIVIST OF THE YEAR
I’m honored that the Pride Center of Maryland (formerly the GLCCB) has selected me as its first-ever Activist of the Year! I’ll be at the head of tomorrow’s Pride Parade here in Old Goucher. See you there!
Please don't try to tell me Baltimore kids aren't interested in better recreation opportunities. This is Perkins Homes..more than 600 public housing units in SE Baltimore..where the backyard basketball court is a milk crate on a pole. And kids were using it
I was in Copenhagen, Denmark last week and got to experience the city's amazing bicycling culture. It’s amazing how much life is activated in a city when you stop prioritizing the private automobile...and when you start putting in people-first transportation solutions.
@mtamaryland how little it would take to spruce up and really landscape some of the major transit hubs in the City? This is the State Center Metro stop on Saturday afternoon—hot and barren. Could be so much more at very little cost...
