Talking to independent physicians, it's obvious that the big insurance carriers are doing to them, what their PBMs are doing to independent pharmacies.
They deny, underpay, slow pay, clawback, and create administrative mazes, knowing their victims don't have the time or resources to fight.
Why ? By putting financial pressures on physicians and pharmacies, it makes them more likely to sell their businesses to them , close their doors, or refer the business to their captive pharmacy or provider. All benefitting the biggest insurance companies
We need to ditch the concept of "claims" and make every delivery of medications or care as a billable event that must, by law, be paid on a timely basis , with interest charges for any delays. If the physician or pharmacy doesn't deliver , the carrier has plenty of legal options already. As does the patient.
This is not an efficient market. This is the big guy abusing the little guy. It needs to change to better the care we get in this country
Gaza's reality: Palestinians aren't just being starved. They're being shot while seeking aid.
More than 1,000 have been killed by Israeli forces while seeking aid, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry & the UN. 60% have been killed while trying to reach GHF sites.
It's unbelievable that American politicians and media outlets still get away with genocide denial every single day while the Israeli government is voting overwhelmingly to put their war crimes in the legislative record. This is unambiguously illegal, and they're proud of it.
Doctors report horrifying symptoms unseen in modern times—hair loss, fluid retention, and organ failure. A whole generation now faces lifelong cognitive and physical impairments due to starvation during critical brain development years.
One doctor said: “Israel has used the dirtiest weapon in history—starvation.”
Hospitals lack basic nutrition supplies, even for medical staff. The WHO, Oxfam, and the UN have all raised alarm: famine is killing children in Gaza at an unprecedented rate.
The IDF is shooting children who are just trying to find food. Babies are being starved to death. How can any government or person with a conscience support this insanity?
Just days after Paramount settles with Trump for $36 million, the FCC approved its merger in a partisan vote. This timing speaks for itself. This is dark and sad day for the FCC.
Why would any tourist come to the US Olympics or World Cup if there's even a 5 percent chance they can be detained by ICE for not having their passport or papers on them?
US President Donald Trump’s decision to allow Israel to attack Iran is the worst miscalculation a US president has made since George W Bush invaded Iraq.
Bush’s decision heralded eight years of conflict in Iraq, killed at least 655,000 people, according to The Lancet, spawned an extreme group of Takfiri militants in the Islamic State group and brought a major state to the verge of collapse from which it has yet to recover 14 years on.
Trump’s decision could yet prove to be more calamitous.
Allowing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to attack Iran, when US envoys were engaged in negotiations with Tehran, places the US presidency on the same level of trustworthiness as Al Capone or Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman.
This is the way you behave if you are in charge of a drug cartel, not a global power.
Who now will trust the word of America? Sooner or later, a power in decline like the US will find it needs the trust of others.
True to form, Trump and his coterie have no inkling of what they have just done. They are gloating in the act of deceit they have just performed, laughing about duping Iranian diplomats while rushing hundreds of Hellfire missiles to the Israeli army and supplying it with real-time intelligence.
Trumps statements are the dumbest thing the US president could say to a nation 92 million-strong with thousands of years of history behind them.
Obama just said what everyone’s thinking but too many are afraid to admit: If he had done even a fraction of what Trump’s doing—blacklisting press, punishing dissent, targeting student protestors—the outrage would’ve been deafening.
But now? Silence. Because when the Constitution gets torched by someone in your tribe, suddenly principles are optional.
This isn’t about policy anymore—it’s about power unchecked and hypocrisy on full display.
There are MANY reasons why you should vote tomorrow in Wisconsin for @CrawfordForWI.... including that this Supreme Court special election is a REFERENDUM ON ELON MUSK. Wisconsinites can LOUDLY demonstrate that Americans reject the Trump/Musk CHAOS. Vote for #SusanCrawford!
