@McAllisterBruce is the Executive Director of #ABPremier#DanielleSmith's office and is in support of boycotting a taxpayer. This is the same man that told a teenager he should be spanked.
It appears that this person wants to harm those who disagree with them.

I've been following Medicine Hat City Council for years. After I lost in the last election, I kept writing about Council; I never stopped. I am running again, find my website here.

So Alberta
While our govt is making HC cuts to not feed stranded seniors in our EDs, the Premier is flying on taxpayer money to Florida to talk w some talking head who thinks Canada is a “silly country that should be annexed”
That trip money could buy an awful lot of sandwiches!
Just want to be very clear: there are allegations that the current AHS acting-ceo, who is supposed to be a life-long non-partisan bureaucrat, told the previous CEO to fire AHS employees for being "critical of govt"...
and still no independent review???

“We were watching for key investments in public health care including prioritizing action on health care capacity & workforce planning for a growing province. Unfortunately for Albertans, that’s not what we saw in today’s budget."
FOM's initial response: https://t.co/P4459iVOwA
Imagine waiting for 3hrs for an ambulance to ARRIVE!!! How scary would that be???
My colleagues in EMS CANNOT respond… stuck in EDs unable to “dump and go” cuz it’s that UNSAFE in our EDs!
They HAVE to stay to provide SOME CARE in ED wait spaces….
12hrs waiting in a BRAND NEW ED!
The fix is NOT more EDs or Urgent Care…
It’s downstream in the hospitals and in LTC
Meanwhile our govt’s only focus seems to be 💯 on more CSFs even though they won’t help either…
Almost 900 days… and Access Block is worsening…
I find it interesting that the Premier read out these costs (omitting AHS costs) at her press conference last Wed.
One of the reasons the public doesn't get told the actual costs in contracts is because govt argues these are "commercially sensitive"?
Time for that to change?!
Why is @Alberta_UCP using taxpayer money to hire PIs, lawyers, and (possibly) hackers to learn the identities of citizens being critical of the government?
Why has the UCP attempted to fire 4 citizens who were critical of the government?

Go sent this + debated sharing it
But thought it nicely captures how so many HCWs are feeling in AB
Many have reached out to me to share this perspective the last couple of weeks
Trying to advocate to maybe help govt refocus its priorities...
HCWs need public to join the convo
“ “They were the ones who went out and received the bids. They were the ones who chose the proposal, and then they were the ones who were charged with the task of negotiating the terms of the agreement. “
Premier misses the point of the allegations: govt interfered in these steps
“This government has stubbornly doubled down on prioritizing more of these lucrative private contracts, rather than investing in bolstering operating rooms in our public hospitals & Albertans deserve to know why," says FOM's ED, Chris Gallaway.

Excellent timeline by Dr Parks.
Hat tip to "Parksy" for the courage this takes, knowing what we do about the SLAPP lawsuit and other assorted attempts to shut down discussion of the facts of this case.
1/ Hi @AdrianaLaGrange - me again, in one of your hospitals. The unit with the broken ice machine, broken microwave. Apparently the bed assignment people want to put me on a stretcher as a fifth bed in a corner of a room for 4. I am on IV fluids and antibiotics,
@AHS_media
Why Albertans should care:
Picture your grandmother. She suddenly has right leg weakness and cannot walk unassisted. You take her to one of our overflowing hospitals.
Likely experience:
-10hrs or longer waiting in the ED WR room to get some care
1/4
Why ABs should Care about HC Scandal:
EDM Zone hit 172 EIPs recently = admitted pts stuck in the ED
Equivalent of completely knocking out 3 of Edmonton's major EDs permanently blocked
Emergency Access is objectively getting worse.
Now's a good time to throwback to this throwback👀 https://t.co/jkp56AXP6N
Privatization never fixes healthcare. Yet Alberta has wasted countless public $ subsidizing profits of private operators. STOP the failed privatization experiments & START investing in public healthcare!
