26 years ago, a gunman entered
Dunblane Primary School in Scotland,
killing 16 kids and a teacher. The UK
govt responded by enacting tight gun
control legislation. In the 9400+ days
since, there have been a total of O
school shootings in the UK. #Uvalde
Another AR 15 used in a mass shooting. The Gun Lobby literally could care less about innocent gun victims. The lawmakers who continue to block safety measures care more about getting the nod of the NRA than us.
Sgt. Erick Estrada of the Texas Dept of Public Safety tells @andersoncooper the shooter crashed his car near the school, got out with a gun and wearing body armor, was engaged by law enforcement, but made his way into the school anyway and went classroom to classroom shooting.
Just in time for Mother’s Day, a gift from the 5 conservative Supreme Court justice to all women and young girls. You will be a mother whether you like it or not, regardless of rape, incest or medical safety of the mother. #RoeVWade
NYT calls KBJ “as prepared as any of the sitting justices, & perhaps more than some, to assume the role of final arbiter of the nation’s most pressing legal disputes.” Perhaps? Why understate? Her qualifications are unexcelled. A brilliant SCOTUS choice.

@LeaderMcConnell This is a racist tweet. Shame on you. You are trying to scare people by discussing “violent crime” and “borders” because of the color of her skin.
I am in awe of all the incredible women on this prestigious short list for #SCOTUS nomination. I must confess that here in the Simon-Harris household, we have had our fingers tightly crossed for our in-law, Katanji Brown Jackson. We are thrilled. https://t.co/WcIsOlp9YO
Ryan K. Welch graduated Summa Cum Laude from @floridastate in December, having studied abroad in FSU in Florence @FSUIP and served as a UROP research asst @FSU_CRE. Ryan was recognized as both an @iopfsu Undergraduate Fellow and a Garnet and Gold Scholar. Congratulations Ryan!
“Let the word go forth all over the world that a jury of 11 whites and one black, in the Deep South, stood up in the courtroom and said that Black lives do matter.” ~@TheRevAl
via @NYTOpinion it’s time for Congress to act. The Supreme Court will reverse Roe. The insidious Texas law is just the beginning of the end. https://t.co/s9nkaR9gUO
The Supreme Court's overnight ruling is an unprecedented assault on constitutional rights and requires an immediate response.
We will launch a whole-of-government effort to respond, looking at what steps we can take to ensure that Texans have access to safe and legal abortions.
