Do you know why those sexually assaulted prefer the term "sexual assault survivor" over "sexual assault victim"?Because not only do we have to survive being assaulted, but we have to deal with those who blame us, those who don't believe us, then accept we likely never get justice
Vancouver is worried FIFA tourists will see public drug use.
At the same time, people are fighting supervised consumption sites that give people a place to use indoors instead of on the street.
If you don't want people consuming drugs in public, why oppose one of the solutions that reduces public consumption?
You can't be against the problem and against the solution.
Make it make sense. 🔥
So let me get this straight Kerry-Lynne - when someone's arrested for sexual assault, you say they should be jailed and you blame it on your political enemies.
Unless they're an MLA who calls you "a friend" and supported your leadership bid - then you say nothing at all?
Destroy any man's reputation? Are you for real?
Trump. Clinton. Giuliani. Just to name three politicians. I can do athletes or actors next. Or move on to Canadian politicans like Brasseau. Brown. Trudeau. Which would you prefer?
I can do this all day, Tim. All day.
Women know that they can destroy any man’s reputation with a single accusation. This reality creates an omnipresent power imbalance, buttressed only by The presumption of innocence. Unless you believe women are divine beings who, unlike men, are constitutionally incapable of misinterpretation or deceit, there is no basis to criticize Jordan much less demand his resignation.
So far, only Armstrong has the courage to call out the NDP for their opportunistic attack.
Sexual assault allegations must be acknowledged, not ignored. Leaders need to use their platforms and power to protect victims and survivors - not erase accountability.
Thrilled to see this story making its way coast to coast!

No matter where you stand on the verdict, i think we all can agree that things are shifting, that if the NHL won't stand by their word when they promise accountability, the fans will.
@NHL
Thank you @karenpaulscbc for covering this important story. It's critical that survivor's voices are heard and supported, especially during times like these.
As the Vegas Golden Knights advance in the #StanleyCup Final, at the centre of their championship run is Canadian goaltender Carter Hart — whose journey has been highly successful on ice and deeply controversial off it. https://t.co/SLLRpIeA8Z @MarkAnderson_AP@kellyfavro#NHL
BREAKING: @GlobalBC News has learned independent MLA Jordan Kealy has been charged with sexual assault.
“I want my constituents to know that I've done nothing wrong. I'm completely innocent and I'll prove that in court.”

@LataviusManfred If your definition of a role model is "a guy at the centre of a sexual assault scandal that cost Hockey Canada millions in sponsors, executives, and public trust," then I guess? Maybe have a higher standard for your heroes.
For the hockey bros (and hockey moms) defending Carter Hart:
A reminder that REAL consent starts with genuine care for the other person’s comfort and agency — not just personal satisfaction. 👇
@GoldenKnights@NHL
The absolute irony of men demanding to know who E.M. is while hiding behind fake names on Twitter while calling women whores, cunts, and telling them to kill themselves is not lost on me.
Just a reminder: Carter Hart chose the same lawyer as my CONVICTED RAPIST, Jacob Hoggard.
By then, Hoggard had already been convicted of sexual assault. Spare me the "she was just doing her job" excuses. Hart knew her reputation. That's why he hired her. @GoldenKnights@NHL

Today is the last day of the spring 2026 sitting! Thank you to the MLAs, staff, and media who keep #bcpoli running.
We hope this I Think You Should Leave-inspired compilation captures the funnier (and more chaotic) moments from the past months. Turbo Team, out!
@vegasownsurteam I've testified at committees in the HoC - one specifically pertaining to Hockey Canada. My work has been cited in both provincial and federal government releases on IPV and SA. I literally wrote a law specific to sexual assault victim-complainants. Sit this one out.

To all of the survivors feeling heavy today, we see you.

@sharkteethtank I am one of the women in this article and who participated in the Canadian True Crime podcast about the case.
Thank you for sharing our takes on this ❤️
I consulted two sexual assault survivors, who endured similar trials, asking for their perspective on Carter Hart and the case.
What they shared is powerful and provides valuable context for anyone interested in understanding the situation better.
