Just so everyone is aware I am not being sued. This individual has filed a requisition at the Penticton courthouse to waive the $200 fee to file a lawsuit. She has not filed a lawsuit. There’s nothing filed at the courthouse other than her request for a fee waiver. She has not served me or my constituency office. She has emailed us but the emails don’t specify a legal action or allegation or have anything resembling a legal claim attached.

I’ve been made aware that someone claims they’re suing me.

I have not received any official documents nor been served nor has the courthouse confirmed with me.

Although I am pleased that something is finally moving forward on the Fairview Encampment, this should have been done by the province quite some ago.

Pushing for action works.

Like many British Columbians, I watched with great interest the B.C. Conservative leadership results last night.

Although I am no longer a member of the party or the caucus, as an elected official directly impacted and a B.C. taxpayer I wanted to offer the following.

Congratulations to Trevor Halford for doing his best to keep the caucus together.

I also want to extend my congratulations to Kerry-Lynne Findlay on her historic win.

I am not seeking re-admission to the caucus at this time.

Nonetheless as a fellow lawyer, woman in politics, and she and I are also from the same sorority, I’d like to offer her my congratulations.

Should there be a time where this party and its leadership maintain focus on the core issues for taxpayers, like healthcare, crime, affordability, to the exclusion of niche controversial issues like children and social transition, I’d be happy to take a look at whether unification was possible under those circumstances.

I do wish Mrs. Findlay and her caucus the best of success, because no matter who is on what ballot the stability of our province depends on it.

It has been years with nothing but delays.

Taig’s mom has a life sentence without her son.

In my community we wrap our arms around Tracey today and every day, and demand speedy justice for Taig.
