In a sane and decent world humans would not have to do this soul-destroying work and would have another way to earn a living and have fulfilling lives. But that's not the idea here. It's to replace humans without giving them any other means to survive. At the very best there would be a pittance 'guaranteed income' that you would ultimately get only if you conformed and didn't question your masters.
AI takes over. Humans go under. That's the game. And why wouldn't it be when non-humans are behind it all?
