It's extraordinary that my daughter was acquitted on all charges after damaging drones in an Israeli-owned weapons factory, which she told the jury she was proud to do.
And now she has a lot to say... 1/6

“My life has become a rollercoaster,” she says in reference to the death threats and sanctions. “I never imagined living without a bank card, but I do. People help me. My freedom is stronger than my fear. You are defeated the moment you stop fighting.”

Documentarian Frederick Wiseman died today at age 96. "At a moment when many of the institutions he documented are being decimated and our attention is divided," Natasha Lewis wrote last year, "Wiseman’s films are out of time and completely timely." https://t.co/DrkF5ZBKdq
Went to see THE ENCAMPMENTS in NYC — it blew me away. One of the best docs I've seen in years. It's about the campus encampment movement last spring that ignited right here at Columbia University and spread like wildfire in campuses throughout the U.S. — with thousands upon thousands of students participating in our Democracy, in acts of civil disobedience, to stand against the GENOCIDE of the Palestinian people being funded with our tax dollars. As someone who has followed this historic student-led movement closely, this film completely transported me inside of it, right to the heart, a truly unprecedented look — made all the more heart-wrenching by seeing Mahmoud Khalil advocating for peace and justice for the Palestinian people knowing that one year later he will be UNJUSTLY kidnapped by ICE as a LEGAL GREEN CARD HOLDER and transported to a detention center in Louisiana — where he is still being held to this day! It's DESPICABLE and SHAMEFUL. If you can find a way to get to a theater to see THE ENCAMPMENTS — DO IT! It's a MUST-SEE. #theencampments @watermelon_pics

A group of settlers just lynched Hamdan Ballal, co director of our film no other land. They beat him and he has injuries in his head and stomach, bleeding. Soldiers invaded the ambulance he called, and took him. No sign of him since.
Kamala Harris ran a campaign that eschewed 2020’s progressive platform, made a show of sidelining the Left, and rested on linking arms with corporate America and trying to win over conservative voters. No wonder it failed miserably. https://t.co/eqD8ztkNMq
