The folks who've spent the last year with "the 'rona has a 98% survivability rate" as their catchphrase are sure taking the literal one-in-a-million chance at getting a blood clot pretty seriously.
I think one of the most valuable lessons of my PhD has been patience and giving myself grace. I might not understand a concept right away, but eventually (days, weeks, months later) something clicks and I figure it out.
So I suppose this short thread is my attempt to normalize that grad school is hard, and it's okay if it takes you a while to figure something out. It's okay to need help. It isn't a personal flaw, and it doesn't make you any less competent.
