The safety of our customers and the drivers delivering to them has always guided our operational decisions — full stop. In the zip codes at issue, drivers faced specific, documented safety threats, and we adjusted operations to protect them, while still supporting delivery through other carriers. Since this time, conditions have improved and packages are again being delivered to customers in these areas by DSPs and Amazon Flex delivery partners. However, claims that our practices, at any point, were deceptive are false — we’re transparent with customers about delivery timelines throughout.
Rather than engage in prolonged litigation, we chose to resolve this matter so we can stay focused on what we do best: delivering great service to every customer across Washington, D.C. In no way is this settlement an admission of wrongdoing.
We're proud of the service we provide to D.C. customers and we're continuing to invest in fast, reliable delivery across every neighborhood in the District.
"We can confirm that an Amazon Air plane operated by 21 Air experienced an incident while attempting to land at Miami International Airport today. This is a fast-moving situation and we're still gathering details. We're working closely with local authorities and officials to understand exactly what happened. Right now, our absolute priority is the safety, well-being, and care of everyone involved. We're doing everything we can to support those affected." — Kelly Nantel, Amazon spokesperson
@FOXNashville I appreciate the warning. You said 15 mins ago and instead of going back to the game, you’ve rambled on and are now talking about the heat tomorrow. Cone on FOX. Be better. It’s the World Cup. Go back to the game!!!!
We’re heartbroken by the loss of our colleague and are supporting his family. But this post is inaccurate. I work for Amazon: operations paused after a medical emergency. 911 was immediately called, the shift was canceled with pay, employees could stay home the next day, and counseling was offered.
@MorePerfectUS We’re heartbroken by the loss of our colleague and supporting his family. But this post is inaccurate. I work for Amazon: operations paused after a non-work medical emergency. The shift was canceled with pay, employees could stay home the next day, and counseling was offered.

Amazon’s response to this morning’s news reports: The team that runs our ultra low cost Amazon Haul store considered the idea of listing import charges on certain products. This was never approved and is not going to happen.
@MSchleifstein@rjamesfinn@NOLAnews I wanted to make sure you knew that we’ve reached out to Ms. Scott-Windham to make sure she knows she has our full support, including pay, as she recovers. We look forward to welcoming her back once she's able.
I understand efforts to bring order to the chaotic boarding process @AmericanAir - but when the gate agent at MHT refuses to let your wife board with you even though your policy allows her to do so - but lets a husband and wife board together - that’s some BS. You should do better!
@NotTuxedoSam I'm from the comms team at Amazon and can confirm this is untrue. James lives in Seattle and works out of our South Lake Union office daily and has for more than 3 years.
@historyinmemes It is not accurate that Jeff doesn’t sell Amazon stock. He makes regular stock sales as you can see reported in Form 4s here: https://t.co/tKNyBOfAMm cc: @CommunityNotes
@WallStreetApes (2/2) Amazon has ~5% U.S. retail market segment share.

@WallStreetApes I'm an Amazonian and this post is full of falsehoods. Alexa does not collect info for the CIA as this implies (customers can see what Alexa heard in the Alexa app & delete voice recordings any time). We do not use wrists bands that shock employees. (1/2)
I have reached out via email four separate times to try to get some help from customer service, @Levears The purchase I made in January has still not been delivered and no one seems willing to help resolve the situation. Could you please connect me with someone who can assist??
