Proud mom of 2 teen boys, vegetarian, advocate, PPMS warrior & proud Canadian tax payer for social safety net & beyond. Trying hard to avoid the echo chamber
Economists, Scientists, but no, believe someone who's never had a job outside of politics. Pierre Poilievre says one thing. 200 experts refute it. Who to believe? https://t.co/l2QUxXipJc via @torontostar
@DiStefano1410@shiftms I’ve definitely felt immense benefits from CBD for painful spasticity in my legs & back. For me, it’s more effective with a THC component. When I’ve no more Baclofen left for the day, it genuinely eases the spasticity - and the pain panic! #mymslife
@Feisty_Waters My sweet Jimmy, the mutt, proves you right every day. Expensive and messy, of course! But the love he shares is so true and unquestioning. I just couldn’t be without him! #mymslife
@CrazyLegsLife@PositiveWithMS I’ve had occasional panic attacks for this very reason. PPMS for me so it’s my scary truth too. There’s only one direction PPMS can go - it’s NOT about getting better! 🤷🏻♀️ Chin up & work hard are the best solutions I’ve found. Most days it helps, at least a little bit… #mymslife
@PositiveWithMS 4 main problem symptoms: my BALANCE and my BLADDER. My BRAIN, with huge cognitive losses, and my PAIN. They seem to feed off each other - perhaps my brain would function better if I wasn’t up soooo often each night to visit the loo. 🤷🏻♀️ #mymslife
@VictoriaSykes1 I’ve now been on Ocrevus for 3 years. It’s a 6 hour infusion every six months. Infusion day is truly nothing to dread. Just bring a good book! Good luck to you
@Billius27 Cognitive losses are a MAJOR part of my symptoms. It’s only been very evident physically in the last couple of years. Seems how my MS went undetected so long. Thought I was aging badly - too much wine? Uncountable # lesions at diagnosis. #mymslife
@kim_crotty I despise this scale! Just seems so negative. On my last visit, my neurologist & his resident were discussing my number and agreed at 6.0. 😳 I’ve PPMS so not hoping for a remission. But I’m going to work sooo hard in PT and try to drag that number down 🤨💪💦 #mymslife
Here's another for you @SuellaBraverman. 18 year old boy from Enfield. His Mum dies and he has no family. He ends up homeless living in a shed. He gets my contact details and I help him. I put him in the Travelodge on the A10 for 2 weeks until I can find him a room in a housing association. I knew the staff so this was possible. He was scared, cold, wet, and starving when I picked him up. He cried for hours. Anyhow we looked after him and now he's doing a degree in engineering. It was not a lifestyle choice for him. And I'm sure he'd be more than happy to educate you on this.
