One of the more amazing facts about Imperial Japan was that most of their Army was occupied in China during that war. As recently as 1944, the Japanese Army were launching offensives with 500k soldiers against China.

Hence the U.S. only fought a portion of the Japanese Army during that island hopping.

I've taken those "solo" PTO days a few times over the years. Not 20 days but just a day here and there. I had "unlimited PTO" in my job so had plenty of time to go on vacations with the family.

Usually on those days I'd just spend the day at the beach with a good book to read. My wife would never be able to do that with me. She'd be wanting to get out of the sun, go shopping, get something to eat, etc. But I can just sit out there for an entire tide cycle.

One time I just went to the local casino. I just wanted to sit at a blackjack table for an afternoon without getting "the stare down" from the wife. I was doing $25 a hand. At one point, I was down almost $1000 but I hung in there, playing disciplined perfect strategy, and was able to actually get a few hundred dollars ahead at one point. Should have quit for the day right then but I kept going as I was having fun. Ended the day maybe $200 down but I considered it worth it as it was a totally relaxing day.

Men need these mental health days.

Would love to leave the system as I've been healthy all my life and even now in my 60s, I have never had a prescription drug.

However, in the back of my mind, I always worry that I would be tempting fate without health insurance. What if I was to get cancer, or have a heart attack? Or be severely injured requiring multiple operations and hospital stays?

I would bankrupt my family if I had to pay for this out of pocket. That is why I reluctantly keep my health insurance.

Trump himself should do a rally or two out there.

Regardless, the counting of "mail-in" ballots for weeks after election day needs to be fully exposed and stopped.

Brown rice, sold to you as the healthy upgrade, is a grain almost nobody in Asia ever chose to eat.

The rice in Japan is white.
The rice in China is white.
The rice in Korea, Thailand and India is white.

Brown rice was poverty food, what you ate when you couldn't afford to mill the bran off, or what you threw to the animals. They worked out long ago that the bran was the problem: its phytic acid binds up the iron and zinc so the body can't reach them, and its oils turn rancid in the heat. Stripping it off gave a grain that kept for years and stopped robbing people of their minerals.

The Japanese, who sit at the top of the longevity tables, built their entire staple on the exact rice Harvard tells you to bin.

So the wholegrain swap is, once again, pretty much the opposite of what the people you're told to imitate ever ate.

There’s a reason America is the greatest damn country on this planet We went from a bunch of rebellious colonies to the undisputed superpower in under 250 years. We defeated fascism, put men on the moon, invented the internet, smartphones, and the modern middle class.

Our Constitution is a masterpiece of limited government and individual liberty that still outshines everything else. I’ll say it again. Limited government not the bullshit scam the Dems were pulling by trying to run everything through large government with them controlling everything.

We attract the world’s best talent because no one in the world offers what the United States has as evidenced by the millions who risk everything to get here.

Our economy, even with its problems, produces more wealth and opportunity than any socialist experiment in history. Our culture exports freedom, rock ‘n’ roll, and the dream that a kid from nowhere can still make it while pursuing the American Dream.

American innovation is second to none. Our unmatched military might which keeps the peace but flexes its muscles when need be keeps us all safe. Let’s not forget the freedoms we have in this great country, where you can openly criticize the government without disappearing. Something Dems and RINOs want to change and take from us.

But yeah, plenty of people on the left, especially Dems in power and their RINO enablers in the GOP act like they want to torch the place and burn it all down. This isn’t a game of make believe, they don’t want to destroy it for fun, but through their bullshit policies that erode the foundations that made us great.

Open borders? Record illegal crossings strain welfare systems and destroy the tax paying middle, who indirectly pay for all of this. Struggling working-class Americans who are fixed to pay the bill on everything the Dems push forward are struggling to put food on the table, they invited and imported cartel chaos with fentanyl killing 70k+ of our people yearly.

Cities like San Francisco and Chicago turned into open-air homeless/drug markets under progressive DAs and mayors who prioritize criminals over citizens. Their energy policy is shutting down domestic drilling, killing pipelines, and worshipping green fantasies while China builds coal plants forcing us to beg OPEC. Result? Higher prices hitting the poor hardest. How they govern? By pushing identity politics, DEI quotas over merit, rewriting history as endless oppression, and that scam that nearly destroyed us, those defund the police experiments that spiked crime in blue cities.

Education? Indoctrination mills turning out kids who hate their own country while China churns out engineers. Debt? We’re at $36 trillion, but the progressive wing wants to expand entitlements forever without reform. RINOs enable it by caving on spending bills, never fighting the administrative state, and prioritizing DC and always siding with Dems over their voters.

Why? That’s too easy. It’s incentives. It’s greed. It’s Power. At what price? By giving in to Globalist ideology that sees nation-states and American sovereignty as outdated. All while virtue signaling elites are insulated from the consequences. Many radical loons openly talk fundamental transformation or equity over equality, which means tearing down what’s worked to remake it in their image.

We’re resilient as hell. We are MAGA. Red states are outperforming blue ones on growth, crime, and migration. Americans still love this place more than the elites do. Fix it by rejecting the extremes, enforcing borders/laws, rewarding merit, and rediscovering what actually built us. Liberty, responsibility, and American hustle. Not more bullshit bureaucracy or guilt.
