@DCrainium I'll have look into this more seriously. I have a an international master's in ecology (went abroad for the experience and cost) so it's been a bit tough finding work outside academia but at a community college, I might have my cake and eat too.

@DCrainium I worked as a lab assistant at a community college for a co-op program back in college and it left a really good impression for me. Its been on my mind since then. All the profs I worked with just seems much more adjusted and balanced.

Fantastic point. Moving out of a research role doesn't mean "leaving science." W/out those of us who work to help disseminate the work of researchers, broad swaths of science wouldn't be accessible to broader audiences.
