One of the main questions I get is if I get a weight training injury… who should I see… should I see a medical doctor, chiropractor, physiotherapist, massage therapist… and it depends on two things… what is the injury and what is the skill set of the health practitioner… I go through who you should see and how to find a good one.
The dumbbell shoulder press technique test is to stand in front of the mirror and look at your hand.. you should see only your thumb and index finger. If you can see the back of your hand, then you have arm and shoulder internal rotation and will be difficult for you to press without creating an impingement and pain. You are also not going in the scapular plane.. the normal plane and range of motion which is usually the elbow and hand slightly in front of the shoulder. The focus should be to decrease the internal rotation through stretches and treatment and rehab exercise. In the mean time keep the elbow and hand in front of the shoulder when pressing. The best treatment for a weight training injury is to prevent it. New SWIS Vision and Evolution
On Thursday, April 2, after a heartfelt conversation with Alex, Michael, and myself, we made the difficult correct decision to cancel the May 2 SWIS Montreal event due to low registration and the uncertainty surrounding current world and economic conditions.
After deep reflection, I’ve made the decision to transition the SWIS Montreal Seminar scheduled for May 2, 2026 from an in-person event into a new and more impactful direction.
Over the past few years, education has changed dramatically.
With the rise of social media education, online learning, and AI-driven education, people are no longer simply looking for more information.
They are searching for wisdom, guidance, community, and real-world application.
This is the evolution of learning by utilizing the power of online and AI education with in person experiential coaching, wisdom and community.
Beginning May 1, 2026, I am officially opening the SWIS Membership Mentorship Community.
