I’m not big on the rhetoric, but completely support the cause. Democrats can never be allowed to cheat in elections on the scale they have done since Kennedy in 1960. They are a crime cartel and absolutely cannot be allowed to take the reins of government ever again.
A lot of people don’t realize how much the early Christian creeds shaped the way the world talks about God. They were sincere attempts to protect faith in a time when revelation had faded and no prophets were around to clarify questions about doctrine. People were trying to hold on to what they had, and I respect that.
But those efforts also pulled Christianity in directions that don’t line up with what the scriptures teach. The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are three distinct divine beings, two with glorified physical bodies and one a personage of spirit, who are perfectly united in purpose as one Godhead.
Without living prophets to settle questions about doctrine, including the nature of God, believers were left to rely on the best reasoning and philosophies available to them, which meant human insight often had to stand in for divine revelation.
As the centuries passed, those debates were increasingly shaped by Greek philosophical ideas about essence and substance, and when Emperor Constantine pushed for a unified creed to stabilize his empire, the process took on political urgency as well.
The result was language that reflected both philosophical categories and imperial priorities, which were well‑intended, but far removed from the plain, personal way scripture describes the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.
These were the affects of the Great Apostasy, and that’s where the Restoration matters. When God the Father and Jesus Christ visited the 14 year-old boy Joseph Smith, it wasn’t to tear down everything that came before.
The restoration brought new light to the world.
In one morning, humanity learned more about the nature and disposition of God, than all the combined learned men, philosophers, and scholars over the last 2,000 years. The Restoration gave back the simple, scriptural truth that God is the literal Father of our spirits, that Jesus Christ is His Son, and that the Holy Ghost is a real companion who can teach and comfort us.
That clarity changes everything in Christendom.
Although he wasn’t named the Big12 POY, BYU’s AJ Dybansta will be the best player on the court in every single game he plays in during March Madness.
Go Cougars!

One may ask oneself:
How did the “Taliban gang” come to be in Utah?
You may have been under the impression that the Taliban was the global terrorist network that runs Afghanistan.
Well, you see, back in 2021 when Joe Biden decided to lose the War on Terror and cede Afghanistan to the tender predation of the Taliban gang, Utah Governor Spencer Cox wrote a letter to President Biden asking for as many Afghan refugees as they could manage to send us.
And they did.
Former BYU Basketball player Skyler Halford joined @espnthefan to discuss what is happening with this BYU team:
Q: This BYU basketball team is hard to diagnose and hard to treat. If you’re putting on the doctor hat, what ails this team? What’s it good at? What needs to be remedied from a basketball perspective?
Skyler Halford: It’s interesting you say that, because it really is hard to read at times. You get a game like Iowa State where they play arguably their best game of the year, and then you follow it up by dropping a goose egg against UCF. It’s tough to figure out.
They’ve gone through their fair share of injuries with two key guys out, and that makes it challenging to adapt. On top of that, there are so few guys back from last year, so the continuity just isn’t there. It’s a new group overall, and losing key players makes it even harder.
What they do well? They’re athletically gifted. I honestly believe that. You look at guys like Rob Wright and AJ Dybantsa, and Richie Saunders before he went down—great athlete. You’ve got length all over the floor with guys like Mihailo Boskovic. Keba Keita is as athletic as they come. The athleticism is there.
The hard part is, with that kind of athleticism, you’d expect more on the defensive end. I don’t want to say it’s a lack of effort, but I do think there’s a level of urgency that could be better—especially early in games. We’ve talked all year as Cougar fans about that first half urgency, about coming out and hitting somebody in the mouth and letting them know you’re there. That’s what comes to mind for me.
Q: It’s been a Jekyll-and-Hyde season—the peak at Iowa State, then the valley against UCF. How does this team find its identity? AJ said in the postgame they’re going to be fine. Are you buying or selling that?
Skyler Halford: I’m buying it. If you’ve got guys as talented as AJ Dybantsa and Rob Wright, you’ve always got a shot. The NCAA Tournament is one-and-done. It’s not best-of-three, best-of-five, best-of-seven. You just have to win one and survive and advance.
When you’ve got guards who can play at the level AJ and Rob can, I’m buying. AJ is confident, and I love that about him. When the lights shine the brightest, I feel like he’s going to perform well. Hopefully that leadership spills over to the rest of the team and they rise to the occasion too.
Q: What’s the ceiling and floor for this team? Is a national championship still on the table?
Skyler Halford: I think the ceiling is still a national championship. As hard as that may be to believe with Richie Saunders out and Dawson Baker having dealt with injuries this season, when you’ve got a next-generation talent like AJ Dybantsa and a point guard like Rob Wright—who has the ability to be one of the best point guards in America—you’ve got a chance.
We’ve seen crazier things happen in March. Depending on how they finish the regular season and perform in the Big 12 Tournament, they could be anywhere from a 6 or 7 seed. If they make a run and win the Big 12 Tournament, maybe they climb to a 4 seed or better. But yes, I think the ceiling is still a national championship if they figure some things out defensively.
The floor? In this tournament, anyone’s floor is losing in the first round. That’s the beauty of March Madness. Anything can happen.
