They questioned our players.
They questioned our coaches.
They questioned whether this group was good enough.

The one thing they underestimated was what happens when people refuse to quit on each other.

This picture isn’t just a championship photo. It’s the story of a team that chose unity over excuses, belief over opinions, and grit over comfort. Every player. Every parent. Every coach. We stayed together when it would’ve been easier to listen to the outside noise.

Championships aren’t won because everyone believes in you. They’re won because the people inside your circle believe in each other.

This is Hickory Grit.
This is Leave No Doubt.
This is Be Somebody.

To our girls: you never asked for permission to be great. You earned every possession, every victory, and every ounce of respect. You didn’t silence the doubters with words. You did it with your work.

We’re proud of this championship, but we’re even more proud of the character it took to earn it.

There isn’t a better group.
There isn’t a better culture.
There isn’t a better family.

These girls are enough. This staff is enough. This program is enough.

Words cannot express how incredibly proud I am of these young ladies and our coaching staff.

To travel to Louisville, Kentucky, compete in The Run for the Roses—the largest basketball tournament in the world—and finish undefeated as the 2029 Emerald Platinum Division Champions is an unbelievable accomplishment, especially in our first year competing in this tournament.

This championship is a testament to the hard work, dedication, resilience, and heart these young ladies have shown all season. They represented Team Hickory with class, competed at the highest level, and proved what can happen when preparation meets opportunity.

To everyone who has supported our organization, encouraged our players, traveled with us, prayed for us, or cheered us on from afar—thank you. Your support means more than you know, and this championship belongs to all of us.

Congratulations to our players and coaching staff on an unforgettable weekend. The future is bright, and we’re just getting started.
