Grand Corruption: Nigeria’s Greatest Threat.
The recent report from the IMF consultation further raises concerns about the scale of grand corruption under the Tinubu government. The IMF now reveals that about N8.83 trillion in expenditure undertaken in 2025 is not reflected in the budget. This expenditure is not budgeted and is therefore not under legislative oversight or administrative scrutiny. This is horrible.
N8.83 trillion is as follows:
1.About 2% of our GDP.
2.Over 35% of Nigeria’s 2025 N23.96 trillion capital project budget. In fact, the amount is more than the actual released capital funding for 2025.
https://t.co/Hta3LViCB8 is more than the entire combined budget for education (N3.52 trillion) and health (N2.38 trillion).
If such an amount is properly used and accounted for, it could transform Nigeria’s public health and education sectors. It could create hundreds of cottage industries that can provide jobs for thousands of graduates and build a solid foundation for economic development. But we cannot account for it. This is not an isolated incident.
This is a pattern of grand corruption that has become part of this administration.
We have a lot to worry about regarding the state of corruption under President Tinubu. The sort of corruption that is ingrained in total disregard of elementary rules of public finance management poses a grave danger to national security and the stability of the Nigerian state. The capture of the Nigerian state and the plunder of its resources are actions that undermine the basis of state stability and deepen poverty and state failure.
This recent revelation proves that the APC government is grossly corrupt, incompetent, and insensitive. With the growing poverty and the urgent need for significant upgrades to social and physical infrastructure, a responsible and responsive government would ensure that N8.83 trillion is prudently utilised to address these gaps. But not the Tinubu administration.
A few days ago, I called on President Tinubu to resign from office for incompetence, lack of capacity, lack of compassion, and failure to improve on his campaign promises. Some people thought perhaps the call was excessive. But with the daily revelations of pervasive corruption in this administration and its total lack of commitment to the welfare and security of Nigerian citizens, the only reasonable action is for President Tinubu to resign from office. The collapse of elementary forms of due process under Tinubu and the increased evidence of rampant looting of Nigerian public finances reinforce the need for greater accountability. It is now time for Nigerian citizens to rise within the law and hold this administration to account.

2027 = tinubu MUST GO ❗️🎤🇳🇬
2027 is Peter Obi's last shot at the presidency.
2027 is your last opportunity for Peter Obi to pull you out of poverty.
2027 is Nigeria's last chance for Peter Obi to rescue her from that structure of criminality, structure of corruption, structure of looting.
2027 is our last chance to be rescued from this worsening economy, and ravaging insecurity.
Irrespective of how the election goes, Peter obi will remain a wealthy man, a comfortable man, an accomplished man, and a fulfilled man.
The best and only opportunity to take advantage of Peter Obi's availability is this 2027, if not you will suffer. Think about your life 12 years ago, and think about it now. This is not about politics or political party. There is always a positive or negative consequence after every presidential election in Nigeria.
Those who fail to value the treasure they have because it is readily available, will eventually regret when such treasure becomes scarce and unavailable again.
Go out there, get your PVC, vote for Peter Obi and Kwankwaso (OK)
Vote for NDC, defend your votes and make sure it counts.
The Knife is in your hands, the ball is in your court. The choice is yours ✌️
Together Towards the New Nigeria That Is Possible
On this June 12, Democracy Day, I had useful meetings with my partners in the building of the New Nigeria that is Possible: our great party’s National Leader, H.E. Senator Seriake Dickson, and our party’s Vice Presidential candidate, H.E. Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso. The NDC, as a party that is barely four months old, despite the challenges, remains the party of the future, and the fruitful discussions at the meetings clearly underscore this fact.
The leaders and members of a committed political family must be willing to make sacrifices and show tolerance and accommodation, even in difficult circumstances. This shared understanding is essential for building trust, strengthening unity, and sustaining the vision we collectively hold for national transformation.
We are all committed to this goal. The NDC remains the vehicle that will convey Nigeria through purposeful, compassionate leadership, with firm commitment to productivity and democratic ideals towards the New Nigeria that is POssible. -PO
To the @NigeriaNDCHQ
I have been silent on your internal affairs I decided to give you the benefit of the doubt.
But you’ve taken much for granted. Far too much! My silence ends now! Theo Abu & Brian Dennis are misfits. There are far more decent Nigerians out there who can run your media.
Appointing the duo already puts you at the short end of the stick. You leave yourselves exposed to attacks from every quarter.
I am no politician; what I am is Obidient—an ardent supporter, no less. I see your disdain for My People. Your war against us is far from subtle. Your handwriting is clear enough for all to read. I see you aren’t out to win minds & hearts; you are out for vendetta. Perhaps to settle scores you made up in your heads.
Who appoints political jobbers to run their Media? Boys without a modicum of reputation. Whose minds can those boys change? Almost everyone has them on a blocked list. They are pariahs as far Political Twitter is concerned.
Both cannot win their polling units. They are errand boys to Abuja politicians; they have zero electoral values. To add salt to injury, both are anti-Peter Obi. The NDC is unthinking & unyielding, brash even! I can’t believe what my eyes have seen. I have been holding back. I had hoped to see a sharp departure from others.
But I was wrong, SO WRONG! So I take back all the reviews. You’ve shown me who you are, & I believe you! Who appoints notorious charlatans @TheoAbuAgada & @XBrianDennis to head their Media Communications Department?
It’s obvious the NDC as a party is out to shut the Obidients out. It’s obvious they are out of touch with the realities out there on the streets.
Perhaps, you’ve overestimated yourselves?
Both boys are on my blocked list. I have them nestled in there since 2023. Worse still, your party is enmeshed in allegations of corruption across almost all 36 states & the FCT.
What kind of party are you running? Are you that hungry? Are you that cheap? Your mess is rubbing off on upstanding citizens like us.
Each time you mess up, Peter Obi is the one that bears much of the brunt. He is now in the line of fire. Your house is on fire. How many fires are you going to put out? I am drama free, but I don’t like what I hate. I am opinionated, I have strong opinions. If others have chosen to be silent, I WON’T! I hate injustice of any kind!
I have never asked anyone for anything, NEVER!
As far as Twitter goes, I have no rap sheet. I have my own money. YES! I am no political jobber. I have never been paid to tweet, NEVER!
I am not on anyone’s payroll. Peter Obi remains the only presidential candidate I have ever campaigned for, at least since 2017. I DO IT FREE OF CHARGE! And yet, I’ve never met him.
We have no relationship, no connection whatsoever. He doesn’t have any of my contacts, except perhaps Twitter (otherwise X).
For a party that is supposed to be different from others, the NDC is already being accused of selling its tickets to the highest bidders.
How do you reconcile that with your body language & what you preach? You are in the eye of the storm. Sadly, you don’t know that!
I did not build my reputation for you to come & tarnish it. I have a reputation to protect. I will call a spade what it is. The NDC must come clean & clear their name. Who got what? Who paid who? I won’t be part of what I criticize.
You know me to be unhinged. I was mad long before I was born. I may be wrong, but I don’t think you are out to win the 2027 election.
You are playing the long game—to arrive at a predetermined outcome. I won’t tell Seriake Dickson what to do. But I will do what I’m supposed to do! What I’m compelled to do!
Morals & values must return in Nigeria. We must restore the throne of good men.
You have time to course correct; if you so wish. At the end of the day, I will leave you with no doubt whatsoever. My name is Nefertiti, I remain your First Lady. I will say no more! ✌️
Beclouded by jealousy, they will soon write to foreign governments and international organizations not to invite, welcome or host Peter Obi again. His persona is killing them.
The respect he is commanding for free, is what they are paying lobbyist for the past 3 years to get.
Yesterday, I was in Strasbourg, France, to attend sessions at the European Parliament.
While there, I spent the day holding a series of constructive meetings with several members from various committees, from the Committee on Foreign Affairs, to the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs, to the Members of the Africa-EU Delegation Committee, to the Committee on Transport and Tourism, and Development, amongst others.
I appealed to them to strengthen their relationship with Africa, especially Nigeria, which stands as a key frontier for global development. Africa, as I reiterated, is a continent of immense potential, the second-largest in size and population, richly endowed with natural resources, and powered by a vast, youthful demographic. Yet it remains the face of global poverty, largely because of bad leadership and entrenched corruption, a reality clearly reflected in Nigeria.
I urged them to support the development of Africa, particularly Nigeria, by advancing good governance. This includes supporting our democratic processes in ways that promote the emergence of competent leaders with the capacity and integrity to transform our nations.
I also highlighted how they can support us in addressing insecurity, improving power generation and distribution, strengthening education and healthcare, and lifting our people out of poverty. This is necessary because our success as a nation and the success of Africa have a direct benefit to Europe.
I also underscored the need to invest in and support Nigerian youths who have an immense desire and drive for entrepreneurship and productivity, if well supported, but are now facing despair due to limited opportunities.
Africa and indeed Nigeria can and must work for all and contribute to global developments.

Never in my life would I have thought the DSS would make arrests off social media investigations.
Now, the investigator has come out to say he was wrong.
This country must amaze you
IT WILL COST YOU ZERO NAIRA TO RETWEET THIS 🙏
Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s spokesperson, announced the sudden arrest of Ifechukwu Dennis as the originator of the fake AI voice note impersonating Tinubu.
He and authorities relied solely on a tech investigator’s video without contacting the investigator.
The investigator, Femi Unfiltered, has now publicly stated: Dennis is innocent.
He was not the creator, and authorities should have consulted him first.
This rushed arrest, with due process completely abandoned, is a clear case of ethnic profiling.
Dennis is Igbo.
In Nigeria, young Igbo men are too often presumed guilty before trial,
especially in politically sensitive matters.
Nigerian authorities and Presidency: Release Ifechukwu Dennis Now!.

What Our Pervasive Insecurity Requires: A Holistic not Reactive Approach.
In a hasty effort to be perceived as attentive and courageous, it is reported that President Bola Tinubu has approved the recruitment of about 1000 forest guards for Oyo State. This is a further demonstration of poor leadership and attending to very serious governance and security issues with a reactive approach. It is the same reactive approach that led to the sudden removal of fuel subsidy and floating of the Naira that has caused irreparable damage to ordinary Nigerians and the economy.
While recruiting more security personnel for Oyo state and the country is important, it should be done in a more organised and well-thought-out manner. Presently, almost all the 36 states in Nigeria are experiencing different forms of insecurity, with Oyo, Plateau, Kwara, Kogi, Borno, Katsina, Anambra, Niger, Imo, and Sokoto being very alarming.
The question, such as the reactive approach of our President, is whether all the states will receive the same approval to recruit 1000 forest guards per state, that is 37, 000 forest guards for the 36 states and Abuja or is the recruitment approval based on the mood of the President? Moreover, with the approval for Oyo, what will happen to the Amotekun Corps that is trying its best to secure South-West Nigeria?. Will they be disbanded in Oyo state?
The pervasive insecurity we currently have is directly related to the failure of our ecosystem, particularly leadership. It is only failure in leadership that can lead to the death of over 10,000 innocent Nigerians since 2023, and Nigeria is ranked among the top-most terror-affected countries in the world.
Addressing our insecurity situation requires a holistic or what can be described as an ecosystem approach. With failure in leadership, there is failure in unifying our dear nation, failure in industrialisation, failure in harnessing our abundant resources in agriculture, minerals, tourism, water, sports and even oil and gas to effectively generate required revenue, growth and particularly jobs for our exponentially growing youth population.
A New and Productive Nigeria will be POssible, and we will be OK! -P0
Obidients are roasting one APC data boy... 😂😂
Peter Obi said the population of EU is about 450 million.
The APC data boy rushed to fact check the statement and claimed that it's a lie because the population of Europe is about 750 million.
Now, Obidients are teaching him the difference between European Union and Europe. 😂😂
The abduction of the Chibok girls in 2014 triggered a global movement. One school abduction was enough to unite Nigerians, attract international attention, and place enormous pressure on the government through the #BringBackOurGirls campaign.
Yet, what has happened since then should trouble every Nigerian.
Under President Buhari's eight years in office, Nigeria witnessed about ten school abductions. Under President Tinubu's administration, in just three years, we have already recorded over ten school abductions.
Despite these repeated tragedies, there has been neither sustained national outrage nor significant international attention comparable to what followed Chibok.
This raises an important question: have we become so accustomed to insecurity that what once shocked our national conscience is now treated as normal?
At a time when millions of Nigerians are grappling with insecurity, poverty, and hardship, it is deeply troubling that those in power appear more focused on political calculations and preparations for the next election than on addressing the urgent challenges confronting our people.
It is, therefore, no surprise that some observers have labelled us a "Now Disgraced Nation". While we do not agree with any attempt to define our great country by its present difficulties, we must acknowledge that persistent insecurity, economic hardship, and leadership failure have damaged our reputation and standing among nations.
The answer is not denial, propaganda, or political distraction. The answer is leadership that is competent, compassionate, accountable, and genuinely committed to the welfare and security of the Nigerian people.
The Nigerian youth must not become indifferent. We must all refuse to normalise failure.
Young Nigerians - Take back your country!

Dear Nigerians, PAY ATTENTION!
Lere Olayinka has deleted the tweet that exposed his crime. He deleted it without accountability. The DSS are yet to pick him up.
@OlayinkaLere is yet to explain to all Nigerians how he was able to gain unfettered access to INEC’s restricted area of the backend.
Wike’s aide is yet to tell us how he managed to publish Emeka Ike’s sensitive data. Professor Joash Amupitan has explanations to make as well. It will cost you nothing to retweet this, until INEC gives a satisfactory explanation.
Lere must tell us what happened to the IREV.
INEC wrote a whole load of rubbish, but failed to mention @OlayinkaLere name; not once!
WHAT DOES THIS TELL YOU?
INEC & whoever wrote the rubbish on their behalf, including Lere Olayinka, are laughing at Nigerians behind the scene. Any result/results declared by Joash Amupitan will be REJECTED!
INEC WILL SET NIGERIA ON FIRE!
