I bought a lumen device and it won’t charge on a USB C cable. Lumen support advise that it will only charge on the supplied USB A to USB C cable. Has anyone else experienced this issue? https://t.co/uQD7jpXCUG

📢 Exciting Advancements in Reverse Shoulder Replacement Surgery! 📢
I am thrilled to share our recent study on a novel technique for reverse shoulder replacement using an undersized humeral stem in a Grammont-style implant. This technique allows surgeons to precisely position the implant, aiming to minimize complications and maximize patient function.
Our research has demonstrated outstanding post-operative outcomes, with notably low rates of stress shielding and implant loosening, while ensuring excellent functional results for patients.
This work highlights the ongoing evolution of reverse shoulder replacement surgical techniques, focusing on implant positioning and sizing to optimize joint position and function.
A special thanks to our first author, Roberto Pareyón Valero, for his dedication and expertise. Roberto is deeply passionate about shoulder pathology, biomechanics, and arthroscopic procedures. As a former fellow of the Brisbane Shoulder Fellowship, he now practices in the Mexico City Metropolitan area, bringing invaluable experience and knowledge to the field.
Read more about our study and the promising future of shoulder surgery. Let's continue to innovate and improve patient outcomes together!
Exciting new research alert! 🌟 A recent study led by Luke Gilliland explores the restoration of the glenoid joint line in shoulder replacements. Proper joint line placement is crucial for maximizing shoulder function post-surgery.
It is a pleasure to be involved with Medartis in organising a course for Australian orthopaedic surgeons to look at the treatment of proximal humeral fractures.
It is going to be an exciting course!

I read a really interesting scientific paper today.
For 32,000 surgical patients, the rates of complications were much higher for surgeons with more complaints.
Makes you think doesn't it?
How good we are as surgeons is related to how we treat people.....

These two buddies of mine (Ella and Beckett) are a great help on Sundays when I'm working back at the office. They never get tired of watching me......
With Kelly Macgroarty and Allan Wang at the Queensland Shoulder Society (QSS) Scientific Meeting a couple of weeks ago. Allan gave a couple of fascinating talks on surgery for rotator cuff tears and reverse total shoulder replacement surgery. Kelly Macgroarty is president of QSS.
I enjoyed meeting up with Matthias Walker from Medartis, Switzerland a few weeks back. It was exciting hearing from Matthias about the new products coming out from Medartis. I get inspired by seeing companies pushing what’s possible with medical technology.

I have really enjoyed having Anas Malkawi with me for the last few weeks. Anas is an Orthopaedic surgeon working in Germany. Anas got to see some great shoulder procedures and was a guest of the Queensland Shoulder Society at our recent scientific meeting.
