@omgsidewalks What I never understood about dental insurance is that it has a fairly low cap. The point of insurance is to cover what you couldn't afford to pay. You need the coverage if you have a severe dental situation, not if you just need a simple procedure.
@SGTWipper1Each Best cup of coffee I ever had, was out of one of those. The coffee was instant, from an old C-rat, but the water was hot and I was chilled and waterlogged, and it was so good.
@ToriatheistTori You both have the same legal right to free speech. As a practical matter? He was murdered for his views. You will probably suffer no consequences whatsoever for yours.
@fire_starter457 You might be forgetting that Jesus didn't hesitate to tell people when they were acting wrongly. He very obviously did not equate "don't cast stones" with "you can't criticize me".
He even told that same woman "go forth and sin no more".
@colonelkurtz99 In the last 4 years I've learned more about love from my profoundly disabled grandson, than I ever knew before. My wish for you is that you have an opportunity to experience something like that, and realize how wrong you were.
@colonelkurtz99 So, you're asking a question, but ruling out the actual answer?
BTW torturing animals is horrific, but I don't know any meat eaters who condone that.
@DietCoke_Esq We used to use that phrase all the time when I did family law. In a settlement, you can use a scalpel. If it goes to trial, the judge will use a meat cleaver.
Best solution, for those concerned about this, is a living trust which becomes irrevocable (or partially irrevocable) on the first spouse's death or incapacity.
A lot of remarried couples write matching wills and assume the survivor will do the right thing for everyone's kids.
The problem? A will is revocable. 🧵
@Srirachachau It wasn't because of Reagan. The courts decided that a mentally ill person could only be held if they were a danger to themselves or others. If the budgets for mental hospitals were cut, it's because they couldn't put nearly as many people in them.
