@Furious_red_@SeptemberN62158 300 years ago anything played on foot and not on horseback was called football. rugby used to be called football. American football is a derivative of rugby. UK football was called association football or soccer for short by the Brits. They caused the confusion not Americans.
Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone following our journey. You're making it possible for us to have the most American experience imaginable on this trip. Not only are we driving across the country, but we're also getting to see behind the scenes and meet so many amazing people.🙏🇺🇸
@Annina_occhiblu@PathToManliness Your opinion is that everything we have is crappy, and you look for ways to prove that opinion to yourself. I could make a European dish and you'd call it crappy because it was my American hands that made it. Basically: your opinion is meaningless at this point.
@RTunkku@FarahRonnie@FreddyLA7 Also, you're using the word "retarded" incorrectly. You see, nowadays the proper term would be "intellectually challenged," which seems to be a problem you have, being that you don't understand casual language and think the rules get applied unevenly. They don't.
@RTunkku@FarahRonnie@FreddyLA7 It's not an attempt at a strawman, it's presenting the exact idea you gave me in a clearer way. This entire argument has literally been you claiming I can't use common language because it's not "technically correct in this specific field or work, ect. ect."...
@RTunkku@FarahRonnie@FreddyLA7 That depends on your perspective of the color. Regardless of who you talk to, you'll be relying on them guessing the right shade of orange, and they'll probably get pretty close but still not have the EXACT shade in mind, that's not gonna be the end of the world though.
@RTunkku@FarahRonnie@FreddyLA7 Also, you DO understand how casual language works... But they only work if you can use them to win an online argument? Why don't you go save the world of something? Clearly you're meant for bigger things than this convo can offer.
@RTunkku@FarahRonnie@FreddyLA7 "incorrectly guessed what I pretty clearly wrote" doesn't even make sense. Just say you don't follow your own standards and move on. 🤣 If a simpleton like me can't understand something you "clearly wrote" you're probably not as understandable as you assumed.
@Annina_occhiblu@PathToManliness Also, this started with you arguing that free refills aren't worth it because you thought you had to pay 25% tip, now you're against them because if someone is drinking coke it's a health concern?? Free refills are awesome, some using it on coke is their decision.
@Annina_occhiblu@PathToManliness I never pay a 25% tip. 😭 That's crazy. I pay 15% if the service is decent, I pay 20% of the service great, but 25% isn't even something I've heard people argue for, and absolutely none of it is required. Lol
@SA_Greatness@PathToManliness I agree they could have them if they wanted them, though I appreciate them seeing why it is so common and appreciated here in the states, which is why we point it out as one of the comments we keep seeing and feel good about.
@japan_nobunaga My thing is: as an averagely built woman, the only way for me to be an equal threat to an average man is if we both have a gun. In any other scenario, he has a biological advantage that'll make him overpower me easily. Gun rights = true equality.
@Annina_occhiblu@PathToManliness If someone told you that you HAVE to tip 25% everywhere you go for a free refill, then they lied to you. Also, we have some awesome food, if you go somewhere other than McDonald's.
@SA_Greatness@PathToManliness I don't think the point of the post was that no one else has AC or free refills, just that it's more common in America than in Europe, and that a lot of Europeans seem to be enjoying it.
@PathToManliness Most of the Europeans I've seen complaining aren't even the ones visiting. They're salty, like always, if they came here though they'd most likely not complain.
