Evening all! Still on for a significant snow event to affect southern half of England and wales Thursday night, some very disruptive conditions are likely, with heavy rain, very strong winds and some very heavy snow. #UKsnow#UKweather#StormGoretti
A very cold and frosty start to the weekend with icy stretches in places ⚠️
Snow showers still persisting, heaviest and most persistent in northern and eastern parts of Scotland ❄️
Dry with plenty of sunshine inland ☀️
It's set to stay cold over the next few days, but we'll gradually loose the feed of air from the arctic and temperatures will recover.
Whilst this weekend will be less cold, it will also turn wetter and windier 📈
#GrittersaurusRex will be making his first journey out tonight after being named by @kmfmofficial and their listeners.
Keep an eye out for it on Bluebell and Detling hill later today.
Showers will continue to affect some coastal regions exposed to the northerly wind this evening, giving snow accumulations in places, especially over higher ground ⚠️❄️
Dry for many inland areas and turning cold with a widespread frost developing 📉
Squint hard enough and I can see some snow over the North Downs tomorrow morning on 12z AROME run, as the front and its precipitation moves through … I’ll let you know … oh the suspense 😆❄️
