A resident of Hong Kong for nearly 30 years, I have written commentary and analysis for Asia Times, the South China Morning Post and Hong Kong Free Press.
In case anybody is wondering why I don't post anymore, it's because no one will publish my "seditious" work in HK anymore. And now all my HK heroes are in jail. So sad.
How has Hong Kong changed? For many years, I wrote a column on this day comemorating those who died in Tiannamen Square on June 4, 1989. Not possible in today's Hong Kong. But as Beijing loyalists party in Victoria Park, let's not forget the true story of what happened that day.
I would like to wish a happy Chinese National Day to all of my ever-dwindling group of followers. And special congrats to President Xi for bringing my journalism career to a silent, unceremonious end.
