4. Energy must be treated as a public good and be tied to productive uses. Energy access is a right! It should be developed holistically - to power homes and industries - and should link to economic activity to build resilience and justify the investment.
3. Green energy is the right path! Renewables can come online quickly, at low capital cost, and be decentralised. Nuclear power is too slow, expensive, and risky while new refineries perpetuate import dependence.
2. Renewables in Kenya are an untapped resource with a lot of potential: wind (4,000–5,000 MW), geothermal (10,000 MW), and 5–7 hours of daily peak solar.
