The court has ruled on my petition, HCCHRPET/E004/2022, challenging the unconstitutionality of Regulation 37 of the Elections (Registration of Voters) Regulations, 2012.
While the court has upheld the regulation requiring diaspora Kenyans to register with a passport, I firmly believe this decision fails to uphold the equality guaranteed by our Constitution.
This regulation unjustly discriminates against our citizens abroad, limiting their fundamental right to participate in our democracy.
This ruling does not mark the end of our journey. I am resolute in my belief that every Kenyan, regardless of where they reside, shouls have an equal voice in shaping our nations future. I will be pursuing an appeal to ensure that the rights of our diaspora are respected and upheld.
The fight for justice and equality continues. We will not relent until all Kenyans are treated with the dignity they deserve.

@LarryMadowo Improving the JKIA arrival experience could involve minimizing repetitive security checks for passengers already screened at departure. Focusing on random checks could expedite the process while maintaining necessary vigilance.
@ForeignOfficeKE Will the Royal Family also speak to all the youth killed during the GenZ revolution?
As hosts of the ICC at #TheHague, the only relevant thing to support is #FufuaICC

Dutch royals to meet Kenyan youth today to discuss human rights, governance, and accountability, King Willem-Alexander says; this follows calls from Kenyans urging them to reconsider State visit.
Thank you as well, for reaching out.
Yes, it's indeed a shame. But we continue to speak out because our efforts for advocacy is far from over. We speak out not only because of the pain we see, but because we believe in Kenya’s immense potential, yet this potential is being undermined by a government that has failed to address corruption, unemployment, and to protect the basic rights of its people. #NoRoyalSilence #StateVisitNLKe #EndPoliceBrutalityKE

STATEMENT: As the Dutch state visit to Kenya begins this week, human rights must take center stage.
With over 60 killed, 80+ abducted, and ongoing violent crackdowns on protests, accountability must be a top diplomatic priority. https://t.co/f1SD1CQAnF
Thank you for amplifying the voices of the Diaspora against this #KenyaNetherlandsTies that is promoting business without human rights and justice for the GenZs
Ironic that the country that hosted Ruto as an ICC suspect could proceed with this visit despite several petitions from Kenyans
Dutch state visit to Kenya March 18th 2025.
No business without human rights.
As the Dutch royals & their delegation visit Kenya, trade and investment will be high on the agenda, but trade deals must not come at the cost of justice. No economic partnership should ignore human rights abuses or legitimize repression under Ruto's administration. The Netherlands (@ministerBZ, @ministerBHO, @DutchMFA, @koninklijkhuis) must take a stand— no deals when impunity reigns, no profits over people.
