Anne Waiguru: Let me give you one example that made me know that Sifuna still needs time. When they were deciding on the party to run, his closest allies, who hold his hands up, he could not convince them to abandon their parties for his. That is a capacity issue. Ruto, when he was still DP, convinced over 100 MPs to go with him and help him with the presidency. Ruto has the money and the machinery, so if you don’t have it, what are you doing running for president? #CitizenSundayLive
For generations, societies have advanced by building upon the wisdom, foresight, and sacrifices of those who came before them. Every generation inherits not only a legacy but also a responsibility—to refine that legacy and leave an even stronger foundation for those who will follow. Vision is the compass that guides a nation's destiny, and every transformative journey begins with the courage to imagine a better future.
As citizens, we have a duty to thoughtfully examine every genuine proposal aimed at advancing our country. Progress is born through dialogue, unity of purpose, and a shared commitment to the common good. Conversely, uncertainty, division, and indecision often become obstacles to growth and national transformation.
The proposal presented by His Excellency President Dr. William Samoei Ruto is an invitation to all Kenyans to participate in shaping the future of our nation. Whether through support, constructive engagement, or informed debate, every citizen has a role to play. More importantly, the youth—the custodians of tomorrow—must rise to the occasion, embracing the responsibility of helping build a stronger, more prosperous, and more resilient Kenya.
Let us not merely inherit the future; let us actively shape it. Great nations are built by people who dare to think beyond today and act for the benefit of generations yet unborn.
**Vision 2060 is more than a long-term plan—it is an opportunity to define the Kenya we aspire to become. The future begins with the choices we make today.**
**A bold vision. A united people. A prosperous Kenya.**

Deuteronomy 31:6 "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you."
Wishing you a blessed Sunday good people!
Today, in partnership with the State Department for Housing and Urban Development, we joined H.E. the President @WilliamsRuto in launching the Upper Kanyakwar @LBDAgov Affordable Housing Project in Kisumu.
This initiative supports the Bottom Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) by creating jobs and expanding access to decent, affordable housing, while advancing LBDA’s mandate of regional development and the State Department’s vision for inclusive urban growth.
A proud milestone in delivering dignity and opportunity to our people.

Grief taught her the rhythm, but hope wrote the song.
The @WidowsEmpProg ensures that this song of courage is no longer sung alone, but shared with thousands of women finding their feet again.
Had an opportunity to engage with my family members this Christmas Eve in a meaningful discussion on education challenges within our community. We also highlighted government programs in Homa Bay County and briefly appreciated the efforts of H.E. the President @WilliamsRuto in strengthening education and expanding access to learning opportunities across the country.
The meeting was crowned by the true spirit of Christmas sharing, unity, and gratitude.
Wishing everyone a joyful and blessed Christmas
The National Government, through the goodwill and vision of H.E. President @WilliamsRuto, has made significant investments in road infrastructure within Homa Bay Town, transforming its urban landscape.
Currently, the Kenya National Highways Authority (@KeNHAKenya) is undertaking the capacity enhancement of the Got Rabuor–Homa Bay Pier–Corner Kodoyo (B2) Road. The project involves widening the carriageway, improving the murram layer and installing pedestrian walkways to improve accessibility and safety.
Complementing this effort is the ongoing upgrading of the Homa Bay Town Roads to bitumen standards.
Nearly all the in-roads within the town are being upgraded, a move that will ease mobility, open up business spaces and enhance the overall urban experience for residents and visitors alike.
This renewed infrastructural focus is steadily turning Homa Bay into a modern, well-connected lakeside hub. #DeliveringThePlan
For years, residents of West Kano in Kisumu County have endured perennial flooding that has displaced families, destroyed property and disrupted livelihoods. The most recent floods devastated 684 households, with 450 houses completely destroyed in Kanyagwal.
To address this recurring menace, the government, through the National Water Harvesting and Storage Authority, is implementing the West Kano–Kanyagwal Flood Control Project in Ogenya Sub-location, Kadibo Sub-county.
The area, which lies at a low altitude along the delta where River Nyando drains into Lake Victoria, is highly prone to flooding and back-flow from the lake.
The project, 48% done and designed to reclaim approximately 7,000 hectares of land, entails the construction of a 1.5-metre-high dyke spanning 3.5 kilometres, a footbridge (as part of the CSR component), grassing and tree planting to stabilize the reclaimed areas.
Once complete, it will protect farmlands and human settlements from frequent floods and facilitate the resettlement of displaced families, safeguarding critical public infrastructure such as schools, health centres, roads, markets and places of worship in severely affected villages including Kanduru, Kanyangi, Kajowi, Wachiegwe, Kanyamuok and Karagwel in Kanyagwal Location. @NWHSA_KE #DeliveringThePlan
Today, we appeared before the National Assembly’s Departmental Committee on Regional Development, chaired by Hon. Liza Chelule (Vice Chair), to present the progress, impact, and strategic direction of the @LBDAgov programs.
We highlighted how our interventions across key value chains in agriculture and agro-processing, fisheries and aquaculture, water resource management, renewable energy, tourism promotion, and infrastructure development are transforming livelihoods, stimulating enterprise, and promoting environmental sustainability in alignment with the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).
The Committee commended LBDA’s tangible results and reaffirmed its satisfaction with our ongoing efforts to catalyze inclusive growth across the Lake Basin region.
We deeply appreciate the Committee’s continued confidence, support, and commitment to partnering with us in advancing sustainable regional development and empowering communities for lasting impact.
Among the major infrastructural developments set to be commissioned soon by H.E. President @WilliamsRuto is the Kisumu–Busia Highway, a transformative project expected to boost regional connectivity and trade.
The highway upgrade will significantly ease transport between Western Kenya and neighbouring countries, reduce travel time and open up new economic opportunities for farmers, traders and small enterprises along the corridor.
May his memory continue to remind us that peace, order and service to our people are the truest forms of honour we can render to his legacy.
Nind'gi kwe, Baba. Rest in Peace, Jakom.
Today, we laid to rest Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga ,a fearless statesman, freedom fighter, and champion of democracy whose legacy shaped the course of Kenya’s history.
Through decades of struggle, from detention to the frontlines of reform, he remained steadfast in his fight for justice, equity, and a more inclusive nation.
His vision, courage, and sacrifice inspired generations and left an indelible mark on our democratic journey.
As we bid farewell, we honor not just the man, but the enduring ideals he stood for. Rest in power, Baba —your dream lives on.
