I may have moved away but I still claim @StPeteFL - @KellyRipa@RyanSeacrest@LiveKellyRyan you guys should know that the photo behind you is St Pete, Tampa’s smaller, lesser known, completely fantastic neighbor city!
A Christian school in Atlanta is forcing kids to recite the pledge to the American flag or they can’t attend. Imagine Jesus saying “honor the Roman creed or you can’t follow me.”
@YouVersion I’ve been working on the @bibleproject “Bible in a year” plan for the last 18 to 20 months (don’t judge. Lol)… And today, it seems to have disappeared off my phone. Please tell me this is just a glitch…. 👀😳
@newsguy99@MintMobileCares Ha! That’s where I lived before moving to Seattle. (Well, St Pete) I’m unsure whether it’s a T-Mobile issue directly or if it’s the real world “cost” of having a pre-paid carrier with deprioritized data.
.@MintMobileCares@Mintmobile@VancityReynolds I’ve loved Mint over the last few years, but the mega data deprioritizing in densely populated areas (down to “E” in Seattle?!) is a huge liability in your service. Affordability matters, but so does consistency. Any hope for change?
Hey, friends, we just gave our company to planet Earth. OK, it’s more nuanced than that, but we’re closed today to celebrate this new plan to save our one and only home. We’ll be back online tomorrow.

Never get committed to chain restaurants’ food items - @Starbucks will pull milk chocolate forever & @panerabread will change their outstanding chocolate chip cookie. Just now found out the latter when I came specifically to order one 😒😭 #ilikewhatilike#darkchocolateftw
75% of the $800 billion PPP program went directly into business owners' pockets and didn't reach employees.
Can someone explain how that's a "stimulus" but giving workers unemployment benefits is a "handout that drives inflation?"
Dang. In Paris, they tore down a police station and built this.
Yep, social housing: 8 low-income units on a tiny piece of land. 6th arrondissement, blocks from Jardin du Luxembourg.
Stone facade (quarried locally to boot), green roof, energy efficient

d) end of this BRILLIANT episode, @drmoore cites Martin Marty re: church growth, saying a (non-toxic) altar call gives necessary space/language for people to enter acknowledge "crisis & rebirth" - mainline abandoned this years ago but AG continues it

a) SBC scandals and general BS have curbed their influence
b) mainstream currently favors the experiential - AG does it well
c) many AG congregations operate without AG in their name/without their denominational affiliation being widely recognized
Everything happening right now isn't some big surprise--America is one giant wound that has never been healed. We won't admit who we are (a settler colonial state).
So, I don't see much changing. We will just keep becoming more of who we are til we're brave enough to be honest.
