In 2006 the name Dennis Head, possibly from dinas, Cornish for prehistoric fort, drew me to the great rounded cliff W of Trebarwith Strand, and opposite Gull Rock, or Otteral as it once was.
No fort, sadly, but a great Victorian quarry, left with the last slate slabs stacked.
