Chai had caffeine in it, which can be dangerous in large amounts. The LD50 is 200mg per kg and I would try to keep below 400 mg a day for moderate consumption
In order for my succulents and other plants to grow they need the proper ph. The potting soil gives the plant nutrients to live! #apesland@franklinlorax
A lot of the plants that are in my house need different things to grow. For example, one of these plants grows best with clay pebbles that improve permeability. Others use potting soil with humus to give the plants nutrients! @franklinlorax#apesland
This is a plant and something very important for it to grow is the healthiness of the soil. The soil must have the correct nutrients in order for the plant to grow #apesland@franklinlorax
Different plant species require different types of soil, so growing all plants in the same bagged soil wouldn’t be successful. In class, we started with a base soil then had to add ingredients to adjust things like pH and water retention for our radishes. @franklinlorax#apesland
This is my cactus. It needs good soil and needs to be watered every so often. In the land unit we learn that plants need fertilizer and water and other things to give it the nutrients it needs to thrive. #apesland@franklinlorax
This is my aloe vera plant. We make sure not to water the plant too much and that the soil we use is not regular gardening soil, but a soil that has perlite in it! #apesland@franklinlorax
This is a cacti. Cacti require a porous, sandy or pebbly potting soil that allows lots of drainage for the water so the plant doesn't collect too much and die. @franklinlorax#apesland
In APES we learned about low vs high density living. I live in a high density area because each house is individual with its own backyard, which takes up a lot of land. #apesland@franklinlorax
Succulents need to be in an area with a lot of sunlight in order to grow. They also are a type of plant that doesn’t need to be watered that often. A good pH level for a succulent is around 5.5! @franklinlorax#apesland
Fuel for our cars gets mined. This is my car and it needs crude oil and other petroleum liquids to run. Those liquids are mined most often from the ground. #apesland@franklinlorax
A lot of Franklin neighborhoods have only single-family housing, but, mine has four-family buildings, meaning it also has a higher housing density compared to other areas #apesland@franklinlorax
Using my computer everyday for school work helps me and my classmates save a lot of paper and helps reduce my ecological footprint! #apespopulation#franklinlorax
On vacation, my family and I walk instead of using these vehicles (cars) as our transportation to help reduce our ecological footprint. #apespopulation
Using a computer can be beneficial! Rather than using paper sheets for our classes, we can do it digitally and reduce the amount of paper. #apespopulation@franklinlorax
