Countries around the world are creating plans to harness their natural advantages – and Canada must do the same for our forest sector.

Despite contributing $73 billion to the economy last year and supporting over 200,000 direct jobs across the country, forestry often gets overlooked.

Imagine a future where Investment Tax Credits (ITCs) for sustainable biomass energy, mass timber construction, and wildfire-resilient landscapes are at the heart of Canada’s economic strategy.

We need a cohesive policy framework that supports forestry’s full potential – creating jobs, fostering innovation, and ensuring our forests remain a cornerstone of Canada’s economic and environmental success.
