General rule of thumb is no more than 5-10% increase in volume a week. Its useful guard rail that keeps you safe.

If you want to get faster, you have to ride faster in training. Not enough fuel makes that a lot harder. I made that mistake for many years. Once I started tracking my nutrition very closely it made a very big positive difference. I feel like a knucklehead for under-eating for many, many years.
@gplama I’ve had 9 hours, felt amazing, and the wearable said 2 hours of trash. Other way around too. Still go off your own feel. If it and you disagree, skip the VO2 day.
