@ron_of_kochi I know that 'dedicated christian youths' like @VisimetuoNagi have done it a couple of times on Sundays after church. And these folks are Dimapur residents. Starting off from Kohima should be easy and fun.
And sweet are the sands at the full o' the moon with the sound of the voices we love;
But sweeter, O brothers, the kiss of the spray and the dance of the wild foam's glee;
Row, brothers, row to the edge of the verge, where the low sky mates with the sea.
- Sarojini Naidu
A scene from the second-last gathering of the @CenPasTheo student fellowship cohort at the Vanhoozer's, this Srping. Grateful for the ministry of @VanhoozerKevin and @ChrisGanski and the platform provided by CPT.
@Jeb_R During our Luther course this spring, Dr. Manetsch mentioned how much he’s learned from your work and how grateful he is for students like you. This was weeks after your defense. I’m not sure if he’s on Twitter, so I’ll just leave that info here-- but really good stuff!
@ron_of_kochi Trust me, I am 100% convinced that postcards are treated as less important. Whenever I put them in an envelope, they arrive without issue, but that defeats the whole point of sending a postcard. At a post office, they didn’t even know which stamp to use or what the cost would be.
"Christ comforts and heals, saves and forgives-- we know that; but we must not forget that he judges too. If we truly love him, we will love everything in him; not only his compassion and mercy, but his sharpness too.... that purifies us"
- J. H. Arnold
"Suffering is consecrated to God by faith- not by faith in suffering, but by faith in God. Some of us believe in the power and the value of suffering. But such a belief is an illusion. Suffering has no power and no value of it's own".
- Thomas Merton
Excellence is an art won by training and habituation: we do not act rightly because we have virtue or excellence, but we rather have these because we have acted rightly; “these virtues are formed in man by his doing the actions”; we are what we repeatedly do.
Durant on Aristotle
"Give the king your justice, O God,
and your righteousness to the royal son!
May he judge your people with righteousness,
and your poor with justice!"
Psalm 72:1-2
"The Word became flesh and dwelt among us". (John 1:14). Here, too, is where the Lord continues to come. Jesus continues to move into your cities, towns, villages and neighbourhood. Where is your "here"? Where are you?
