Adopted the Keto lifestyle for my kids... so that I'm around for them and so I can teach them the lessons I was never taught about health, food and life.
Live and let live...
I’m don’t try to “convince” anyone else of my convictions nor try to convert them to my way of thinking.
Plant-based eaters - have at it. Love sugar? Go for it. Vegan? Yee haw!
I won’t try to convince you otherwise. Please offer me the same courtesy.
Big news, @claudeai just got a huge upgrade today and I'm very happy to be introducing it in shipper. From today on, Claude Code Opus 4.6 can build and run a business for you.
We just launched Shipper 2.0, a tool that lets Claude:
→ Build web/mobile apps and Chrome extensions
→ Code, design, monetize, launch
→ Do email marketing for you
→ Continue to build out new features
→ Self-maintain in the long run
Claude's most powerful models can now do all of that from a <10 word prompt, for as low as $0.12/app... And it takes minutes!
Simply go to Shipper, then ask Claude to "build a talent hiring platform" or "build a complete saas that charges $29/mo"!
To celebrate the launch, we're giving away free credits randomly to people who repost and comment "SHIPPER' :)
Just dropped a post with my actual weight and health stats. So if you’ve ever thought, “At least I’m not that guy,” …you might owe me a thank-you. 😅
Come for the numbers, stay for the awkward vulnerability: https://t.co/9hpUyxfWc4

The hardest part of sharing this post? The truth.
I’ve spent a lifetime being judged for my weight—rarely helped, often hurt.
But I’m done hiding.I’m sharing the real numbers and the real story.

@BiggestComeback I literally just wrote a substack post that included this same sentiment.... It's like telling someone who is hearing impaired they should just pay more attention to what's being said.
For any of you following along my journey... this one’s personal. I’m sharing real data, real struggles — and the frustrating truth about metabolic adaptation. For anyone who’s ever felt like the math just doesn’t add up, this is for you.

I'm reading "Why We Sleep" (Matthew Walker)... I've known about sleep hygiene and the importance of sleep for good health... but, holy cow... I'm definitely making changes to get better quality and more sleep!
I'm reading "Why We Sleep" by Matthew Walker PhD... I had no idea that my 2 cold brews in the early AM could be affecting my sleep at night. I thought for sure the caffeine would run it's course by 9PM. Nope! So, now I'm reducing (maybe eliminating?) my caffeine intake in the AM.
Lost 60 lbs.
Said, “I’ll just eat a little more.”
Metabolism said, “I’m out.”
Gained it all back.
Still burning calories like a sloth in a coma.

I lost 60 pounds fast. Not in the most healthy way. Then I gained it all back—while still eating in a deficit.
Metabolic adaptation is real. This time, I’ve got a smarter plan.

@BiggestComeback I just started reading "Why We Sleep" (Matthew Walker)... Sleep is such an underrated health tool... Your numbers are great. Mine...not so much. Working on it.
@Ketofrugalmadre I’m getting 150+ g of protein day… I have not yet added creatine.
I have a tendency to get obsessive so I try not to over-do things… one “add on” at a time until it feels normal. Then I pick up the next good habit.
@Ketofrugalmadre Yup. I do both. I’ve always walked (2-4 miles a day) but consistent weight training is a new element for me.
I’m really enjoying it. Two of my kids do it with me, so it’s also “family time” which is awesome.
Except for the soreness. That I could do without…
@Ketofrugalmadre Metabolic adaption is ridiculous. You think you're doing everything right... and all of a sudden, you start putting on the pounds again!
I'm journaling my path back (the healthy way) over on SubStack: https://t.co/7TmLtyvuDk
Feel free to follow along and share your experience!
Last time: Ate very few calories (<600/Day)... All Keto approved. Lost 60 lbs in 3.5. months.
Then: Metabolic Adaption! BOOM
Moved to 1600 cal/day. Still significantly under my daily energy expenditure. Gained back EVERY SINGLE POUND.
Learned my lesson. Time to lose again.
@rtflew And then -- once you've stabilized -- you can reduce calories (again, slightly -- 100-150/day for a while) until you start losing again.
The healthy way to lose weight without metabolic adaption occurring would be to lose 1-2 pounds a week.
I'm just now starting on the downhill
