We are in the year 2020.
In the most developed country in the world.
And yet, Latinas only early 54 cents on every dollar.
I am worth more.
We are worth more.
#DemandMore#LatinaEqualPay
If we closed the #wagegap, every year the average Latina worker would earn enough for:
💸 Almost 37 more months of child care;
💸 3 years of tuition at a public university; or
💸 Nearly 20 additional months of heath insurance premiums

When it comes to pay gaps, there are consequences.
These families have less money for food, college, childcare and daily expenses.
Latinas deserve to feel empowered and paid equally #LatinaEqualPayDay
It’s outrageous that today, 11 months and 20 days into the year, is the day Latinas’ average pay catches up to what white, non-Hispanic men made LAST YEAR. We need #EqualPayForEqualWork! #LatinaEqualPayDay
HAPPENING NOW: On #LatinaEqualPayDay, @RepDMP, Chairwoman of the CHC Women’s Task Force, is hosting a discussion to address the economic disparity facing Latinas and their families.
She’s joined by @RepEscobar and @RepSylviaGarcia.

Latinas MUST be part of the conversation when we talk about the gender pay gap.
We can’t ignore Latina domestic workers, fast food workers, union members, & teachers.
The focus must be on Latina working women & other working women, not just the privileged.
#LatinaEqualPayDay
For every dollar that a white man makes, a Latina woman makes 54 cents.
That's right. In 2019, Latinas must work 11 months longer than white men to earn the same pay.
We have to address this injustice head-on and finally ensure equal pay for equal work. #LatinaEqualPayDay
It takes 1 year, 11 months & 20 days for Latinas to earn the same as a white man earns in the US in a single year—and that amount of time has *increased* since last year. This is shameful—we have so much work to do to achieve equal pay. #LatinaEqualPayDay https://t.co/xPr3ze1Vqi
Latinas are making waves across the country as community leaders, heads of households, and rising professionals. Yet, these women still only make 54 cents compared to every dollar a white, non-Hispanic male makes. Latinas deserve better! #LatinaEqualPayDay
Yesterday, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors passed @HildaSolis motion to proclaim today, Nov. 20 as #LatinaEqualPayDay and to send a letter to @GavinNewsom and First Partner Jennifer Siebel Newsom to thank them for their commitment to addressing the wage gap.
The need for #LatinaEqualPay is urgent. Right now, Latina moms have to work PAST age 100 to catch up to what their white, male counterparts make by age 60. 😱 https://t.co/gJa2rU3Rct
