I had a check up today, Dr said my BP looked great, assumed I was still on prescription, looked at my chart and I said I dont take it… he ask why so I said 20 yrs ago what is considered high now was normal then—- that I did it naturally. KSTP just dropped another soft-pedal “report” that doesn’t pass the smell test.

They claim three juveniles — ages 11, 12, and 16 — are the face of a “window-smashing spree” in Minneapolis. Cute narrative. Completely disconnected from what’s actually happening on the ground.

Meanwhile, residents and witnesses keep seeing the real pattern: multiple stolen vehicles, two or three cars deep, nearly a dozen masked suspects rolling through neighborhoods. Not three kids on a joyride. Organized crews. MPD has chased groups from Northeast into North Minneapolis. People have watched them smash windows and rifle through cars for three straight days this week. This isn’t random juvenile delinquency.

Minneapolis police themselves report 172 vehicle damage cases since last Friday. That’s not “three kids barely out of elementary school.” That’s a sustained operation. And let’s stop pretending the goal is spare change or a phone charger. They’re hunting for guns. That’s the prize.

KSTP’s framing does what these stories always do: shrink a brazen, multi-car, masked crime wave into a tidy “juveniles detained” feel-good line. It minimizes the scope, the coordination, the stolen cars, the masks, the volume of damage, and the actual motive. Residents living it see something far bigger and more dangerous than three kids on Grand Ave.

If the media keeps selling the sanitized version while the streets keep dealing with the real one, public trust dies and the problem metastasizes. Report the full picture — the stolen vehicles, the crews, the gun-seeking, the geography — or stop pretending you’re informing anyone.

The community already knows better.
