He caught his wife in his bed in his house with another man. Then he called the uncle's as well as his wife's relatives. Oh he called the man's wife too. Video in comments section 👀
An Open Letter to @KRACorporate:
Dear KRA,
This afternoon, someone died at your Lake Basin office in Kisumu. According to reports, he took his own life after allegedly receiving a 300-million-shilling tax bill. You released a statement, and while I saw your condolences to the family, I cannot ignore how you ended it.
After telling us a man jumped to his death from a building, your final words were a reminder for taxpayers to report "incidents, concerns, or suspicious activities" through your hotline.
WTF?
Jameni? That is what mattered most in that moment?
A man is dead. His family is shattered – they've lost a father, a husband, maybe a brother or son. And you ended with... a hotline number?
This isn't just tone-deaf – it shows us who you really are.
You are so stuck in your bureaucratic ways that even death doesn't make you pause and think, "Maybe we should handle this differently." It shows you care more about your processes than the people those processes are crushing.
You know what you should have included?
- Numbers for suicide prevention hotlines
- Acknowledgment that tax disputes can drive people to the edge
- Information about payment plans for those drowning in debt
- Or just stop after the condolences. Sometimes silence says more than words
But no. You copy-pasted your usual footer like this was just another Thursday vacancy announcement.
KRA, you deal with millions of us when we're already stressed about money. Today's tragedy should shake you to your core. It's not just about this one man – it's about every Kenyan who opens your letters with trembling hands, who loses sleep over your assessments, who feels hopeless when they see those numbers.
Every tax bill lands in someone's life. Every penalty notice affects someone's mental health. Every assessment can be the last straw for somebody.
Fix how you communicate during tragedies. Teach your people to see the human being, not just the PIN number. Yes, you need to collect taxes, but you don't need to lose your humanity doing it.
Next time something terrible happens – God forbid – remember you're talking to people who are hurting, not just taxpayers in your database.
Respectfully,
@KRACorporate, do better. Be human first, tax collector second.

Men can stay up til 2 a.m., wake up at 6, be in debt, broke, alone, and still have faith that one day, everything will work out. It's called being a man.
To my Esteemed followers,
Your year has been dark,
Your months have been stuck,
Your weeks have been hard,
Your days have been sad,
This coming half of 2025, JUNE - DECEMBER, will be your moment of breakthrough and success.
