I would say that the two big problems are lack of voter engagement evidenced by the turn out and lack of voter education and misdirection. This was evidenced by the number of ballot papers rejected for being marked with ticks , x and more than one first preference

Folks, thanks for your support during this campaign. Out of a field of 13 candidates in my ward I came 8th with 105 first votes and a total after transfers of 109.588. Obviously I am disappointed in the result. Anyway the big prize is Independence and let’s move forward on that.
